Yahoo should not rely on their vendor Open Web to moderate the comments section as their filters are entirely too restrictive.
Yahoo should allow their readership to set the allowable standards in the comments section or at least, coordinate with Open Web to loosen their overly-restrictive standards. There are terms which are perfectly G rated and still they are not allowed. Case in point, the term "useful idiot". if it stings anyone, it is only because it should, otherwise, I'm the one who's off-base and will accept the consequences for my position.

Comment Suspension
We have zero ability to have a suspension rescinded...such a neanderthal way and so arbitrary. One-person decides if your comment hurt their feelings with zero recourse

Allow Users to BLOCK any subject by clicking an icon next to the article.
Some subjects cause anguish and discomfort. The ability to BLOCK a given subject will make things better. For example, BLOCK artlcles on Pelosi, Trump, January Riot, Transgender, etc. This differentiator will create a strategic advantage for Yahoo and benefit Yahoo readers.

Fox News has testified under oath it's not news but entertainment. Please remove Fox News from the News feed and place it under the entertainment tab. I don't appreciate being fed lies.

No way on Yahoo to easily find, or view past comments.
On the MSN forums, Microsoft has a clear system of being able to find or go to past comments on the forums. As of what I can tell so far, there is no way, or no easy way of doing this, at all on Yahoo. this is a really, BIG, BIG problem. If you ever want to go back or find a comment you posted, there is actually no way of doing so, unless you manually, and arduously try to find the comment manually, by scrolling through the comments section of the yahoo articles. This is absolutely absurd. In fact,…

Remove The Telegraph from Yahoo.
Is it important not to spread misinformation to Yahoo? Obviously not, The Telegraph is not a news worthy publication. If you fact check them, it becomes obvious that they are mainly a right wing propaganda tool. They do not appear to include facts, honesty or reality in what they write. Maybe they are part of FOX news. Regardless, they make news coming from Yahoo less legitimate, or not legitimate at all.

Stop posting letters to the editor & opinion pieces from journalists. They add very little. Add more news.
Yahoo has been posting more news articles from a variety of sources. That's good. But it also posts letters to the editor from around the country. Many people around the country simply don't care what people in Idaho, California or North Carolina think about local and state-specific issues. Spare us please. Likewise, there are too many opinion pieces from journalists. They pontificate and provide their views. Who cares? Journalists are some of the least-regarded people in the country, irrespective of their points of view.
Give people more news from around the world and locally too and reduce the opinion pieces.…175th ranked -

It would be nice to have an option to only see news from articles you could actually read without having to subscribe.
More and more news articles when clicked upon can only be read with a subscription. Such as waste time. There should be an option to not see articles which require a subscription in you news feed.

Enough with the video ads
I am getting tired of full motion video ads as part of the Yahoo experience. This includes news articles, comment sections, even trash and spam for e-mail.
