WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Differentiate Unread v. Read - Better ways to see the difference.
Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  1. Link Preview in Emails

    In new Yahoo Mail, "Automatically generate a preview of links" is not working. It should be fixed or just allow users to go back to old Yahoo Mail. Thank you.

  3. Support AI Agents(Codex or Claude code ) and Developer Integrations

    Dear Yahoo Mail Team,

    I’d like to suggest adding official AI agent support to Yahoo Mail, similar to Gmail.

    It would be great if tools such as OpenAI Codex, ChatGPT, and Claude could securely connect to Yahoo Mail, with user permission, to:

    • Search and summarize emails
    • Draft and send replies
    • Organize and manage messages
    • Automate email workflows

    Ideally, Yahoo could provide a modern API with OAuth and fine-grained permissions, so users can control exactly what an AI agent is allowed to do.

    AI agents are becoming an important productivity tool, and supporting them would make Yahoo Mail much more competitive…

  4. Get the lists working agin

    The lists are showing but when you click on "Email this List" button, the emails do not get put in the email, just an empty email is provided.

    Hi Lindsay, we tried replicating this issue and it worked fine for us. So our team had additional questions...

    Can you tell us what browser and browser version you're using?

    How many contacts are in your list, and whether this happens every time or only sometimes?

    Last, a screen recording showing the issue would be very helpful.

  5. Sending Videos

    When I send a video of mine from Vimeo- I always got a Thumbprint ID so I knew the video I was sending was correct. With the NEW email I don't get that Thumbprint confirmation. I always wonder if the correct video I'm sending IS correct? You might want to re-add that feature on the NEW email. Other than that aspect it's ok.
