Colors/Themes
Provide more coloured themes, instead of resorting to just the monochrome ones.

customization is very limited. I think it would be great if we were able to change color and layout to our preference.

I would be a lot Happyier if it was reverted back to the Australian Themed Main Page.
It was a lot easier to work with. Now you have a Bland --Black and White Main Page which is similar to GMAIL.
In Business you needa point of difference.
You had a good one now you have changed it -

I know there is a "light" and "dark" option, but there should be more customizable viewing options because the darkening of read messages draws your attention TO them as though they are more important, it's quite terrible. I would suggest adjustable colour/shade for background, read messages, unread messages, etc, I thought there used to be in the old version; why take away options? There could also be alight adjustments for spacing of items in the left menu, messages etc, as I don't need lots of space on a desktop pc, and would rather not have to scroll down quite as much to find items in a list. The link to "manage your account" is broken right now (3/12/25).

Keep the THEMES. The themes with artistic background, and gradient colors. Allow us to remove the all white or all black option. This is not user friendly, and causes YahooMail to become flat and boring.

It may sound unimportant, but it is not. The changes to the Yahoo calendar have LESS color options than before? You've automatically reassigned multiple calendars in my account to the same color. REALLY unhelpful. I went to edit those calendars and there are only SIX color options? And all are dark with terrible readability given the fine black font you chose. The pastels were much better. Why not just allow custom colors? This is a deal breaker for me. I only use Yahoo for the calendar and it's time for me to switch to something else.
I imagine you are going to hear from a lot of vision impaired people too. There is no way the font/colro combinations pass any readability standards.

The all black displays are boring. I have 4 email accounts with you (3 of which are under subscription with monthly payments) and with OLD mail, I had those 3 set with colors so I could instantly distinguish one from the other. Please add this feature back to your NEW MAIL

Hi ...
I'm not at all happy with the change to email lay out!!!
I have 3 Yahoo email accounts & by having a choice of a different back ground to each of them .. helps my ADHD & Dyslexic Brain to know straight away which account I am in, without having to look at the type to know which one it is!!!
I looks like you've gone back to the early days of Yahoo, not the future... some 20 years on!!! :/
I truly hope that you will bring back multiple choices of back grounds & very soon... Im sure there will be many more others that fell the same!!!Regards Heloise

Please bring back the color themes to the new email inbox. I love this new email style and that it can find read messages now, but the display is either a bleak light or dark. We need color brought back into this to make it perfect.

I wish I could have contrasting colors between the background and the list of emails. I am color blind and this new email color format is bad. I also wish there was a daily break up of the emails. They all blend together and it is just confusing. I have had Yahoo email for more than 30 years, I do not wish to switch, but may have to. Thank you.

I really miss the option of having a background-picture, was visually more attractive and for me easier to navigate through inbox. The new UX is somehow cold..

The new update that limits Yahoo Mail to only light or dark mode has made it much harder to read and use comfortably. The previous coloured themes (especially blue) were easier on the eyes and more accessible for many users, not just those with dyslexia, but anyone sensitive to glare or contrast.
Please bring back the option to choose softer background colours or at least offer a custom tint setting. Accessibility shouldn’t be reduced in the name of simplification.
Thank you for listening, Yahoo Mail was great partly because it could be made to feel right for each user. I hope you’ll restore that flexibility.

i don't want my read messages to be highlighted. Why is it like this?? I want my read messages to be white not dark! its the opposite of what I wanted to be. Why are there no themes why are there no color choices???

It's all gray and white. Why is the option to have colors? What is the distinction between emails in gray and those in white. I hate it!!

Please bring themes from "old" Yahoo! Mail to the new one, including the illustrated themes and options for color customizations.
