An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedIf you are referring to the "Trending on Yahoo home page" see the third ranked complaint as of Feb 05 title: "Get rid of the "trending now" box that pops up when I log in. I do not want it. "
Ir you are talking about the advertisements, try a browser with a Web Mail Ad Blocker. No ads to the right of the messages!

An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedTrending Now on Yahoo has several complaints in this list.
"Get rid of the "trending now" box that pops up when I log in. I do not want it. " is Third Ranked on Feb 05.
I am also annoyed with Yahoo substituting a web link preview when all I want to send is a link that the recipient can copy and paste into the browser.
It is especially annoying when I send a Phishing complaint to an Abuse Reporting address and Yahoo wants to replace the web address with an ACTIVE LINK!! I leave off everything before the : (colon) in the web address. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedThis needs to be merged with "Get rid of the "trending now" box that pops up when I log in. I do not want it." which is number three ranked on Feb 05.
There are also several other complaints about the "trending on Yahoo" that are lower ranked and should also be merged! -

An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedTry using a browser where you can add a web mail ad blocker. I do and the only advertisements I get on Yahoo mail, is the annoying "Trending on yahoo" pop-up.
No advertisements to the right of the message, and no ad above the message list. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedThere still seems to be a way to block domains.
On the right side of the screen click the gear icon, and choose "more settings"
Click on "Privacy and Security"
You have a list of "Blocked addresses"
Click on the blue "+ add" then enter the domain you wish to block to the right of that column.
I use "*@ac-orleans-tours.fr" (minus the quotes) as an example.
If you leave off the asterisk or the @ sign it will tell you "the address is invalid"
I have 680+ domains on my list (of 1000). Anything entered before Yahoo changed their format, now requiring Asterisk and Each, still appears to work. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedI agree! I send a link to a friend, and Yahoo replaces the link with a little picture, of the page, THAT I DIDN'T WANT! Plus there seems to be NO WAY to TURN IT OFF!
The setting for Notifications doesn't work either! I still get "Breaking News" and "Trending on Yahoo" when the Notifications setting is set to OFF!

An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedProbably a Phishing email. I received one on June 25, which I reported to Yahoo.
click on the three dots (. . .) next to the spam icon and choose "view raw message". If the line starting "Received-SPF:" (about the 7th line down does NOT say "the domain of yahoo.com designates ***.***.***.*** (numbers) as permitted sender" then the sender is FORGED.
Also look at the line "message ID" which should also include "@yahoo.com" .
There also should be NO attachments.
BUT THAT DOES NOT STOP A PERSON WITH A YAHOO ACCOUNT FROM IMPERSONATING A YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE, -

Another SPAM from Yahoo.
This time I had to jump through SIX reCAPTHCHA's before you accepted my complaint!
Vehicles, Traffic Lights, Vehicles, with bicycles also shown (again), Traffic Lights (again) then Vehicles TWICE MORE. All a single large pictureAn error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedThe frustration continues. July 15, 2019, I reported a Fake Lottery that was using a yahoo account for Replies, (sent from gmail) recaptcha made me go through THREE different screens before it conceded I was not a robot, and accepted my submission.
Find the vehicles in a single, large picture; then find the traffic lights in a single large picture; finally find the bicycles in multiple small pictures that were replaced when checked.Edwin Hampton shared this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Edwin Hampton commentedYes, they are idiots, or at least the Artificial Idiocy program that reviews the transmissions.
A few years ago, I was tagged as a Spammer, because I was forwarding too many SPAMs to ABUSE REPORTING ADDRESSES for the sending ISP, and government (spam@uce.gov)!
(Most ISP's want you to FORWARD SPAM to them for abuse reporting complaints, with the original subject line intact)!

I usually have less than 30 in Yahoo's delete in 30 days "Spam folder"
