An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedKelly, all settings, including the settings that can be changed during the season, are locked after the last game. Yahoo! does not currently support year round access for their fantasy sports.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYahoo! does not support fantasy sports year round. For football, the league settings lock after the last game is played and can be changed when the league is renewed next year. One reason this is done is to prevent league scoring settings from being changed affecting the outcome of the previous season. It also doesn't pay for Yahoo! to support a fantasy sport during that sport's dead months.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYahoo! does not support year round activity for fantasy sports. What the commish can do is keep track of the trade during the off season, then after renewing the league next season, process the trade using commish tools.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedIn a private league, just ask the commish to expand the rosters.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedI would not expect this to be changed.
The main reason is because there are days during the week when there are near full schedules, meaning all 13 of your players have games but you can only start 10. Your opponent, on the other hand, has only 9 players with games.
This does not give you a 4 game advantage for this specific date. It give you a 1 player advantage.
Another reason is players being sat in either the 1st or 2nd game of back-to-back sets, especially the older players and players dealing with nagging injuries. Just using the team's schedule to count possible games does not factor in situations like this where it is known the player won't play in every game.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedIt's all fair in the long run. If you want game limits, play roto
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedAt he end of the season, every team has played 82 games. The differences in games played per week evens out over the season.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThis cannot be done in the game.
A league is H2H or points, it cannot be both.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedUsing week 17 is a terrible option in any format, since most teams will be out of the playoff hunt and just wanting to finish the season without getting anyone hurt.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe player who muffs the kick is charged with a fumble in the Yahoo! game, but not the D/ST.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedI can tell you penalty related scoring will never be part of the game.
As to giving points to a player when their team wins, that won't happen either, because there is no way of knowing if the player contributed to the win.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe commish can bench all the players on teams 5 and down and lock them.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThere has never been a consolation bracket for the 8 team playoff option on the Yahoo! game.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedUnfortunately no. The bracket formats have been available for the commish and all members of the league all season for review.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe 8 team option has never had a consolation bracket for the other 8 teams on Yahoo! You must have been playing on another site.
The greatest number of teams that make the playoffs is 12 and that is by using the 6x6 format.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThey can, on paper. They can set their "official" roster and give it to the commish. After the games, the commish and players can use the info on Yahoo! for the players to accumulate the scores.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThis would not be possible. The two waiver methods are different and cannot be blended.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThis is currently possible in the game.
If a pitcher is scheduled to start either game of a DH, they will have a green dot next to their name and they can be started for the 2nd game.
You just need to have them in your active roster before the first game starts.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedit is also one of the lowest priority requests made.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThis won't be an option for this season.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe game won't support this league rule.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedFirst, ties in fantasy football are a very rare occurrence, especially with fractional scoring, but that is the default option for public and Pro leagues.
In private leagues, the commish can opt out of this tie breaker and go with just seeding.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedH2H only matters in the playoff tiebreaker and only if the commish selected that option in the league.

You can find the above in NOTES at the top of your league page. You can do what you want, you just have to do a little work.
So yes, you CAN, set up the bracket the way you want to.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedH2H results are not used in season tiebreakers. Only in the playoffs if the commish chose the option.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThen you need to have a points based league. This can't be done in H2H leagues.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedHead 2 head results can be used as a tiebreaker in the playoffs in private leagues, but the season tiebreaker is based on how you did against the league, not a specific team.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedPublic and Pro leagues have position limits. In private leagues, it is left up to the commish to control their own league.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYour commish can control this by making it a league rule, and if someone exceeds the number of players per position the commish can remove them from the player's roster using Edit Roster and/or lock the team.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedGreat idea. Go play on ESPN.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedActually, that is not cheating. That is just being stupid.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedOne hole in your argument, for public leagues, Yahoo! assigns players randomly to the league. They have some basic edits in place to prevent players from teaming up as you describe.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedNo other games on Yahoo! have this restriction. You can have 10 QBs or 10 RPs in baseball or 10 G's in Hockey if you want.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe problem with that is some commishs would pause for hours, if not days, and that cannot be supported by the infrastructure.
Offline drafts are always the best option if you have time constraint concerns.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYour post makes no sense because it is not readable. Try using less profanity and try again.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedIn this case I would suggest you do an offline draft. That removes all time pressure.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedSend text messages and/or emails to the remote player so they can keep up with the picks.
Skype and similar products would be useful for situations like this.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedFootball uses 10 as the default for the number of teams in a league and that's why they have the playoffs set up as 4x4
You can always create your own league with the number of teams and playoff settings you want next season.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedSo you don't draft any Cowboys, Chiefs, Patriots or Falcons since they don't play in week 1?
Or you wait for week 2, but you don't know who the winners are for week 1?
Too many complications.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe difference is the default league size for baseball, hockey and basketball is 12 teams while football only has 10. That is why the default bracket is 4 x 4 in public and pro leagues.
In private leagues the 6 team option is available for the commish to select.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThere is an option to send 6, top 2 get byes.
3 plays 6
4 plays 5Winners move on and play 1 and 2.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe math doesn't work out.
5 teams start the playoffs, 1 team on bye.
2 plays 5
3 plays 4Winners move on.
Now you have 3 teams in the next round.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedIt is not possible on Yahoo! You will have to do it on paper. And if you chose the lock eliminated teams option, they won't be able to add any players, just rearrange their current roster.
Yahoo! will produce the numbers for you, so you don't have to track individual players, you just need to look their totals up on Tuesday.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commented7 team playoffs have never been an option in the past and I don't see it as an option this year either.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe current options are 8 with no consolation or 6 x 6 with 2 teams missing the bracket completely
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYour commish can do that today. There is an option for the division winners to get byes, then the rest of the bracket is filled based on points. The commish can use Edit Team Points to change the results of previous games to control which teams make the playoffs.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYou will have to use your commish tool Edit Team Points to get the teams into the playoffs that you want.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYou can, by using Edit Team Points in commish tools. You can alter the results of previous games to manipulate which teams you want to qualify for the playoffs.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedMaking the playoffs is how you did against the league, not a specific team. In standard 10 team leagues, not every team plays every other team twice in the regular season like is done in the NFL for divisions.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedYou'll have to use the commish tool Edit Points to manipulate the scores of completed games to get the teams you want into the bracket the way you want.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedHead to head matters in the playoffs, not in getting into the playoffs. You get into the playoffs based on how you did against the league, not just one team.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThere is an option to have the bottom 4 teams play.
Click on 6 team, then click on 6-10 teams.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedActually, the commish can do this, but it's not a option you can select. The commish can use Commish tools, Edit Points, to manipulate the results of prior games to get the right teams into the playoffs.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe ST points go to the D, and the K and P return setting numbers go to the D and to IDP players if your league uses that setting.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThe option to count return yards is available in private leagues. Also, the TDs scored by the K and P returner count for the DST already, and if your rostered WR, like Beasley with Dallas, scores on a kick return, he gets the 6 points.
In IDP leagues, if one of your DBs returns a kick for a TD, they get the 6 points and yardage.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedJust fyi, IR positions don't count towards the 30.

An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedPost your league number and team name.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThis stat only applies to playoff tiebreakers, not regular season.
The H2H are not used as regular season tiebreakers because each team is evaluated against how they performed against the entire league, not the team(s) they are tied with to make the playoffs.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedSince you are gathering feedback now, I'd go for this too. I've wondered for several years now why fantasy baseball playoffs go thru the regular season but all the other fantasy sports championships end with a week to go in the regulars season.
The last week of the fantasy baseball season is really a contest of "who gets lucky" with players that actually are playing for something vs. teams that are resting their stars for the playoffs or benching the stars when they are eliminated from the playoffs and playing the call ups instead.
An error occurred while saving the comment Steve Huslig commentedThere is. That is the standard default in public leagues.
Go to your league page. Scroll down to Standings. Next to standings you will see Schedule and Playoffs. Click on Playoffs. The current playoff bracket will show the bracket if the playoffs started today.
Last season was April 24th, after the draft.
I would expect roughly the same time this season.
