It’s puzzling to me why Yahoo fantasy baseball doesn’t have a game day waivers option like fantasy football does. The idea is that unowned players start the day as free agents and anyone can add them freely. Once players’ games start for that day, they are put on waivers and if a team wishes to add a player after his game has started, it is subject to the waiver process. The next day, waivers run and any unclaimed players go back to free agents.

This is exactly how it’s done in football except football teams have one game per week instead of 6 or 7 as in baseball. If 2 NFL teams have a Thursday night game, all unowned players are on waivers until the waiver run the following Tuesday or Wednesday and then again become free agents. Please, please make this happen for baseball. It would make the game so much better.
