We all do, my friend.
We all do.
Wish they'd listen to you. But they won't.
Hey, Yahoo! We found someone who can fix your email issues! Do you have any spare change to hire this person?
Everytime I contact someone about an error -- that the old Yahoo email didn't have -- I get the same pasted answer: "Clear your cache or use a different browser." NO! That's NOT THE PROBLEM! We all know that's not the problem. Just FIX IT!
You are 1000% correct.
And Yahoo doesn't really even care.
They just say, "This is what we will give you. Deal with it."
Want proof? Look over the comments here. Most are reasonable & logical. Then how many have been implemented/considered by Yahoo? None.
This is why in a few years, they'll be gone. Google doesn't treat their customers this way.
But, Yahoo may not be able to do it since they ELIMINATED the fields in the contacts for first name & last name. What were they thinking?? It's insanity.
But not happening. Yahoo doesn't give a **** about what their customers say here.
I considering changing to gmail, but the move is a huge mess!
I know! This is infuriating!
It was bad enough being limited to 99 when I've been with Yahoo for nearly 25 years.
Whoa, buddy! You're asking for a lot from a company that has chosen to have 0.001% of the market. And is dropping.
But, honestly, I so wish they would just let us us the former email. It was so much easier. I'm waiting for Yahoo to ***** up the calendar....which is the only thing that still works well.
So I client said, "Why are you using this old email address?" When I scroll over it, I get a "add to your contacts" option. WHAT??? How is that possible when I just emailed him with that address???
OK, so when I touch the email he WANTS me to use, I get a "edit this address" option, but when I search my contacts, I can't find it.
Are you serious???? This is idiocy.
What is Yahoo doing???
I AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!! But I don't think it's possible any longer.
They didn't put in a last name field when they "improved" the email. Can't believe it.
How hard is it to put lists in alphabetical order? I have over 100 lists and I have to scroll through them to add a contact. Really???
How much longer will we have to wait?
........ONLY if I get out of Firefox and use Chrome.
Then, I have to press save after EACH edit or they edits are lost. Didn't know that. So after adding ~50 contacts to a list.....I figured I better go back and check....and now I'm redoing them all.
WHY is Yahoo making us do this?
WHY can't we have the old contact list that actually WORKS?!?!?!
I know Yahoo isn't WalMart, but own a small business and I would never treat my customers like this. NEVER!
4 or 5 months, and still very little progress.
There are dozens of issues with the new Yahoo. We post them.......and very little happens.
Maybe, if we all speak loud enough, Yahoo will either fix them or give us the previous version. Plz visit here:
It's b/c Yahoo doesn't care.
Only people who are older than google still have Yahoo addresses.
In maybe 2 years, Yahoo will no longer exist. I have my own company....if I provided this type of customer service, I would have been out of business in a week. It's infuriating.
a) We can add contacts from an email! WOW, this basic function only took 4 months to add into the "new & improved" version of Yahoo email.
b) Meanwhile adding those new contacts - - or ANY contacts - - to a list is now non-functional. Seriously???
But, Yahoo charged this morning me $30-some for another year of their awesome ad-free email. I'm glad they are getting their money for this horrible email service. I give Yahoo 2 more years maximum.
I have a lot of contacts.I'm a business owner & sometimes I need to look for a certain thing, like a name, or an area code, or a zip code. When I try that in the new/improved email, all I get are 6 choices. But there may be dozens & I need to be able to scroll thru them to find THE ONE that I want. How?
All I get from Yahoo Twitter help is "Post it on our help website and vote for your favorite" I need legitimate help. Anyone have any ideas?
It's under review????
That was 16 days ago. When will this be fixed??
We're begging for Yahoo to help us. Is it that hard to give us what we ask for?
* How the heck to I add a new email address to my address book? Are you forcing me to copy, then paste? WHY?
* Plus there's not even fields for last name, first name
* PLUS neither my contacts or my lists are in alphabetical order!!!! Are you kidding me??? So I have about 100 lists, and when I want to edit one....i have to search one by one b/c they aren't in alpha order.
What a disaster.
Your customers are screaming for help! Plz listen to us.
I asked the Yahoo customer service Twitter account about "Why can't we right click, and add a new email to our contacts any longer?" . The response was "good idea!"
I wanted to scream, "NO IT'S NOT A GOOD IDEA. IT'S A BASIC IDEA!!!"
What is wrong with these people?
I guess I should be happy I didn't get the generic response of, "Post your idea on our forum and vote for the best idea!" Infuriating. People get that one over and over and over.
AGREE!!! The new email is horrible.
Whoever decided to change from the old one should be FIRED!
And whoever designed the new one should be fired TWICE!!!
This would be GREAT!!!!!
PLEASE allow this ......... like the previous email that WE LIKED!!!!
No, posting here does nothing.
You would think Yahoo would want to make their customers happy.
But they force an email service on us that we don't want AND was not as good as the previous. And they don't care.
This is why KMart, Roses, etc. are out of business. They didn't care about their customers. It was "Here. Deal with it."
Where are those executives now? Running Yahoo, of course.
I have asked Yahoo through Twitter about this several times. Each time I get a paste that says, "go to the Feedback page here, tell us your issue, then vote on your favorite."
I need to search for a last name, a zip code, etc. and I get SIX choices. I have over 6000 contacts, and Yahoo gives me SIX choices. Are you serious? A high school computer science class could have created a new email platform.
I guess this for the elementary school kids?
If we receive an email from John Doe, there's a cute little "JD" beside it. Who wrote this script into Yahoo email? a teenager?????

This was an idiotic change!
And they won't move it.

Yahoo, I guess, thinks this is cool. It's not.
It's unnecessary and more clutter. Get rid of it.
