It's been two years since Yahoo forced the "new My Yahoo" changes on its users, and Yahoo has been "gathering feedback" on this top ranked idea since May 2014. Perhaps Yahoo cannot decide whether this idea has merit. Meanwhile, the company is failing, employees are leaving, and the value of Yahoo's U.S. operation is zero. A major shareholder "Says It Is Time for the Board to Accept That Significant Changes Are Needed at Yahoo, Including Changes to Management, Board Composition, and Strategy and Execution."
The ideas and comments posted here point out many problems that Yahoo could address, but it appears management of Yahoo is intent on killing Yahoo off completely by refusing to budge on a failed strategy.

Checking back about 10 months after posting the idea above. I check My Yahoo about once a month. I haven't seen any significant improvement in the modules or the amount of features available. When are we going to get an update? 10 months seems like a reasonable period of time to allow Yahoo to fix the problems with the New My Yahoo..

Just checking back after being off Yahoo for months. Where are the updates? Yahoo hasn't posted an update since May 20.

Actually, I quit using My Yahoo because it's unusable now. Before the new version, I used it nearly every day - since about 1998 or so. I have found other options that are better. Maybe not as convenient as the old My Yahoo, but far better than the new My Yahoo. I just check in from time-to-time to see if anyone at Yahoo is listening to the users who don't like the new My Yahoo. I check my Yahoo mail on my phone using the native email app, which works fine.

I agree with Zoidz's idea and the prior comment. Also, why does Yahoo use a different format for different sections of the news, i.e., World news displays differently than US news, which is different than Politics, etc. It suggests Yahoo has no strategy or standard - it's just floundering around with beta versions of different designs and doesn't have the ability to develop a uniform and cohesive style and product.

It's been three years since Yahoo killed off the useable versions of Yahoo and My Yahoo on a desktop or laptop computer. So, it seems clear that Yahoo won't bring back the features we had in My Yahoo before 2014 no matter how much we ask Yahoo to do so. I moved on to other providers (MSN and Google News and Weather and Finance.) Those services might not be as quite as good as Yahoo was before 2014, but they are far better than Yahoo is now. I just check Yahoo every few months to see if Yahoo has improved any in the meantime, but it seems to be getting worse. No worries, because I don't miss it anymore.
