YES that's my WYSIWYG suggestion too
Well, I was optimistic!
Easter is upon us and the problem still isn't fixed.
What was once a simple 4-action "select/copy/select paste" is now a 14-step process to achieve the same result!
And for what reason?
How is the rationalised as an improvement to Yahoo Finance?
Maybe Yahoo just doesn't care>?
I don't use the "portfolio" facility, except to get the drop-down menu to get access to my "watchlists"
"Watchlists" present as 1-row per stock (as they always have). but when you copy from that view it doesn't actually copy it.
Instead, It seems that it copies from a "my holdings" view (which I've never looked at before) and that's 2-lines per stock).
With any luck, Yahoo may get around to doing something about this before Easter?
For many years, I used to simply 'copy' then 'paste' portfolio stock codes and prices straight into my spreadsheets....very convenient1
Now I 'copy' then 'paste' into a separate section of a spreadsheet, then 'selct' and 'shift' all the prices up one row (leaving a blank line between each useful line).
Then in the spreadsheet, 'Select' all, go to spreadsheet "sort", 'select' the code column as the sort column and 'sort' alphabetically. That converts back to 1 row per stock
Then I 'select' , 'copy' then 'paste' the prices into the correct part of my spreadsheet.
What a tedious process! for what was once convenient and simple!
And for what purpose did Yahoo introduce this new 2-row formatting? Their webpage looks just the same as always! ... 1 row per stock.

Users really are a bloody nuisance!
Always complaining about well-considered improvements
Life would be so much simpler and easier without them
Good luck getting that fixed by Yahoo - They are not interested!
The website operates entirely to their satisfaction.
So why take any notice of what users say?

Such a pity that Yahoo/Finance was once the "one-stop' place to go for all your stock information in a convenient form ... text and charts.
Progressively over the past year or so, it has (apparently deliberately, or in ignorance of real customer needs) been degenerated into a buggy, pale imitation of it's former self.
There have been an enormous number of complaints and suggestions from customer's comments about all the changes which have been made.
Apparently, management is not interested. They continue to make alterations to their own satisfaction.
Rather sad for a once great site.
I presumed that you meant "watchlist" not "portfolio"
Clicking on "watchlist" no longer produces a "watchlist".
Clicking on "portfolio" doesn't produce a "portfolio" either, but it does produce a "watchlist"
All thanks to Yahoo's unending "improvement" programme!
There is an "X" on the far right edge of each portfolio stock entry line - clicking tat "X" enables you to delete that stock.

The reason you suggested isn't the cause of my problem. This is yet another Yahoo "improvement".
I think they have a corporate death wish!
Going from outstandingly the best financial website (a year or two back) to an endless stream of new problems and customer inconveniences these days.
I've have had enough of their nonsense and I too and am going elsewhere for my daily stock prices.
A pity they are such slow learners!
It's sad to observe a formerly great site slowly but surely committing suicide.
It seems that the overwhelming, thousands of customer feedback "dislikes" you received with your "improvements" to the Financial and other parts of Yahoo were not enough warning to stop "improving" things.
Now,apparently, it's time to stuff-up the e-mailer.
Have you never heard of .........."If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Learn! before the last customer departs!

Our engineers are working on incorporating Contacts into the new format. We appreciate your patience while we work on this.
In the meantime, you can access contacts by clicking on the icon on the upper right side (small icon made up of a rectangle with three small stacked squares). This will open Contacts in a new tab of your browser in the Classic Mail look. You can also access your contacts via https://contacts.yahoo.com.
Thank you for sharing your opinion on New Mail with us. We continually strive to improve and upgrade our products to make them even more useful to our members. As we move our products forward, we must unfortunately retire support for older versions. To learn more about the latest version of Yahoo Mail, visit https://upgrade.mail.yahoo.com/
Hi Yahoo7 users!
We appreciate all the feedback we’ve received regarding the design changes with Yahoo7 and features, and we’re constantly working on improving site performance and user experience.
The feedback we receive is vital in our decision making process, and we’d love to hear more about the changes you’re seeing. We recommend continuing to post comments here with any additional feedback/ideas, rather than posting new ideas regarding layout changes.
Thanks for using Yahoo7
What a BS response! .......
You are ignoring most of the feedback you get) .... just blundering on with your own plans! .... (can you believe? several thousand customers annoyed enough to provide feedback - how many others couldn't be bothered, or just left?) .... Sad really ... Yahoo used to be a good site - you have turned it into a garbage heap!
