"shortly" usually means a matter of minutes not multiple hours. Why not be honest about what's happening?

Also, putting "Check our Twitter feed for the latest updates." implies that there will updates about the problem the site is having.

The original title for my suggestion has been changed. By someone at Yahoo!, I assume, to fit it into a category, and now my initial comment no longer makes any sense. It was not about "the pre-draft ranking tool". Not sure to what that exactly refers.

Originally, it was about the start page for a mock draft, and the option to add pre-draft rankings to the upcoming draft. As it was when I last did a mock draft, you would have to change something on that page and hit save to make sure the pre-rankings were available during the mock draft. There were options for the pre-draft rankings of the various teams a person might have, which is nice, but the default setting was to have none available for the mock draft.

My suggestion was to have the most recently saved pre-draft rankings automatically loaded for that draft with the option to change to another team's pre-draft ranking still intact. Obviously, it's way too late for this season, but plenty of time fix it for next season or for other fantasy sports with mock drafts.

Leave it so that you can change it, but have the most recently saved one pre-loaded.

it's annoying to have to select them each time, plus sometimes I forget set it or click the save changes button, or do a join next draft and have only seconds to make the change.

link to recently added players: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/1250/playerchanges?type=added (not sure if the OP is aware of this page)

How about announcing newly added players in the notes link on the league page(next to the league name).

Another option would be to add columns for the next few days. It would help if they were sortable.

Also, just adding opponent columns for the next 3 days for all players would be useful. If I'm looking to add a player on Tue or Sat, that I'd like have as a possible starter on Thur or Mon, it would save a step of looking to find out if that player's team has a game that day.

In response to Anonymous: The OP made no mention of position players. Maybe you misread the title, but the message was clearly about pitchers. Also, there are only 30 Major League teams
