The Baseball season has started and MOST leagues still don't have Chat. Please finish beta testing the new ChatBox on private leagues and provide to ALL leagues ASAP. Without a message board we don't have a good way to communicate with our league-mates. Fantasy Sports is a social game, provide communication tools on the league page so we can play. I don't know how Yahoo expects us to enjoy their product if they don't provide required tools in order to play.

We were told numerous time by Yahoo that the chat function would replace the message board by adding threads and becoming usable (unlike the unusable one we have now). I have yet to see any of these changes implemented. I was notified by Yahoo where we can access the chat on the site, but I still have yet to find the League-wide chat feature in several of my leagues. We can't have a league-wide chat via email because we can't "reply all" on the emails to allow the discussion to progress naturally (it will be fragmented going through the league's email function).
IMPLEMENT CHAT FEATURES IMMEDIATELY OR RETURN THE MESSAGE BOARDS IMMEDIATELY.
Yahoo was clearly not ready to elevate the chat into functioning as a replacement message board. The MINIMUM changes to the FantasyChat to replace message boards:
1) Embed the chat on the league page (not a popup).
2) Enlarge the chat to be 6 times larger on screen.
3) Add threads so each subject can be discussed separately.
4) Remove the transaction log from the chat entirely (it already exists in its own log).
5) Add Rich Text editor (or equivalent).
6) Timestamp all posts.
7) Archive each season's chat on the league page.
8) Add and option for email alerts to new chats.I've had several drafts already occur where I could not chat during the draft and after the draft I cannot find a way to chat with others in the league. We are getting close to the season and many of these functions that were promised by Yahoo back in Feb. (when they announced no message boards this year) have yet to be added. I don't think Yahoo's FantasyChat is even remotely ready to replace message boards and I have no idea why they think they would be (I don't see the rest of the internet, including this page and reddit, replacing message boards with a chatbox).

Has YahooFantasy forgotten that Fantasy sports is a social game that requires communication to enjoy? Message Boards are the glue that hold a league together. Message Boards are CRITICAL to enjoying fantasy sports. If you don't archive previous years message boards (after giving everyone significant notice of such), that's fine, but an active league requires communication between the managers on the league page. I always defended Yahoo as the best site for FantasySports, but this singular change immediately makes Fantrax my preferred site to spend my money (rather than Yahoo). I'm only one user, but I'm not going to pay for YahooPlus and play several $50 leagues each year on your site if I can get a lot more enjoyment playing the same game on a different site (communication between players is a major part of the enjoyment of a fantasy league). It should be obvious to Yahoo that this is a social game we play, but they apparently don't want this FantasySports business anymore.

I just renewed my leagues on Yahoo and immediately came to see this HORRIBLE DECISION to remove the message board! I'd be disappointed if you removed archived messages from previous seasons (assuming I knew about it in ADVANCE), but I'm horrified that it would be removed completely so we cannot communicate during an active season! Please return this feature immediately! I'm paying for YahooPlus and I'm now losing a basic feature that I need to run my leagues.
Please return the message board NOW! YahooFantasyCare on reddit said there is a "chat messenger" that can now use to post messages; I've spent 10 minutes on the site just now and I cannot find it. Please provide direction as I cannot even find it and I'm a commissioner that has been using Yahoo Fantasy for 25 years. If I cannot easily find it, there is little hope the rest of the league will find it and/or regularly use it. I keep telling people online that I find YahooFantasy as the best site to play fantasy sports (in many online media), but this decision immediately changes that opinion for me. I'm going to be spending a lot more more time and money on Fantrax if this feature isn't returned.

I'm getting more and more frustrated about the loss of the message boards. Yahoo promised several enhancements to the FantasyChat so that it could function as the new message board, but as far as I can tell, none of those enhancements have been provided. In fact, I can't even figure out how to use the chat at all in several leagues. We are now post-draft and cannot communicate with my mates as a group other than the "e-mail league" tool (which does not work as a discussion thread as you cannot 'reply all' to these emails).
Will the FantasyChat ever become usable? Is Yahoo Fantasy actively trying to reduce its marketshare? Just to function as an adequate replacement, at minimum we need:

3) Add threads so each subject can be discussed separately.

7) Archive each season's chat on the league page (not continue the chats from season to season).

"Troubles" (Triples + Doubles) has been a statistic that we have repeatedly ask Yahoo to add as an option for custom leagues.

HtH leagues should have both a min. and max. innings pitched per week (e.g. 20 and 50 respectively).
Roto leagues should have both a min. and max innings pitched per season (e.g. 700 and 1400 respectively). -

The fantasy chat has not been available on the website for MONTHS. We need a way to easily communicate league business on the league page, in ALL leagues. Please restore the message boards ASAP. Or at least provide the fantasy chat box with ALL the Yahoo-promised functions in ALL leagues.
