give better information about blocked questions
When a person has blocked your answers but is also anonymous you have no idea that you have been blocked. You spend time answering the question in good faith and THEN it won't post. Sometimes I have wasted a quarter of an hour on a complex question.
If the asker has blocked responses and is also anonymous I need to know this so that I don't waste my time on them.

I do not understand YA's stubborn refusal to eliminate the anonymous feature. What don’t users understand about anonymous?
They do it because if they allow answers from anyone who disagrees with them, this will weaken their propaganda.
They have no interest in asking real questions or discussing anything.
I dropped out of Yahoo Answers because it was overrun by trolls and Yahoo did not seem to care.

I agree. It's a ridiculous waste of time and effort to compose a question only to find yourself blocked.
What I don't understand however is why some "Anonymous" person needs to block people. What is the rationale behind it? In the Politics section it only encourages Russian trolls and white supremacists to constantly post propaganda because they systematically block people who might oppose their views. Yahoo needs to look into this, pronto. This is an election year and things are getting very out of hand. The site is being taken over by very determined and very divisive entities.

Absolutely agree, I wasted a lot of time creating an answer I could not post because the asker is cowardly blocker

Yyes I agree, U waste your time answering and it all just gets wiped away, they can block U but U cannot block back, where is the fairness in that. Make sure the person know that they are blocked so thatthe answer button does not come up. The system tells me that I have answered why can it not tell me I cannot answer as blocked?
This is getting intolerable, Yahoo! Please implement something that would disable the "Answer" button as soon as possible. I'm sure the blockers and other trolls are chortling in glee at the frustration.

So, we request that we are informed if anonymous users have us blocked, and what does Yahoo do? THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT WE ASKED! Now, it appears, we are not even informed that we are blocked from questions from non-anonymous users. In fact, even when we hit the submit button, there is nothing to indicate that we have been blocked, except that the answer does not appear. Why are Yahoo! doing everything they can to encourage trolls?

I've had the same thing happen, spend 20 min writing an answer then it won't post, acts like it's broken, finally figured out I was blocked. How many ways does YA act like it's broken? Too many.
Remove the Anon feature, just aiding trolls. Your avatar is already anonymous, nobody knows your real name anyway or email. Isn't that anonymous enough?
I haven't seen that yet, but you have my votes on this. Really, though, getting rid of anonymous questions and answers would make this problem go away.
This has happened to me quite a bit since trolls have taken over the category I know the most about; I actually take the time to research and often cite credible resources. The asker isn't really interested in credible information and really wants rants and venting, not academically-backed studious answers.

Brilliant idea...it's annoying bothering to compose a good answer only to find it won't post as you've been blocked

IT I S JUST A WASTE OF TIME IF IT WONT EVER go onto the board...ALSO BLUE FACE COWARDS should be stopped...it is unfair...they can block but we cannot...makes no sense.

Eliminate blocking and ban abusers.

IT IS A WaSTE OF TIME TO type answers that wont take and frustrating..
I used to get an email every time i got an answer to one of my questions, now for some reason i no longer receive an email when this happens which used to enable me to block anonymous people, which i can't do anymore, why?
I agree with the "Blocking should not be allowed when posting as Anonymous" as in, blocks should be lifted as soon as asker switches to anonymous
David Miller commented
I agree. If the asker is posting anonymous their blocking rules should be ignored.
Spend minutes composing an answer to a Anonymous Question.
When Submitting, find out that the person has blocked me.
Blocking should not be allowed when posting as Anonymous.
OR the removal of the Answer/Reply Box, as when the person post in their account name.
