bring back comments
Bring back comments. Users feel more connected if they are allowed to comment.

Using anonymous as a name allows liberal trolls to say anything from Trump supporter is a lie that allows them to report it.

In the more technical areas, such as science and mathematics, comments provide a way to point out incorrect answers and provide additional information. That is important.

Comments allow users to peacefully exercise debate about other peoples arguments. The majority of comments were, in fact, not full of vitriol as some like to claim. Removing comments encourages lies.

BRING BACK THE COMMENTS AND REMOVE THE ANONYMOUS FEATURE, IT'S USELESS AND ONLY TROLLS ENJOY THAT ****. THE ANONYMOUS MODE RUINED YAHOO ANSWERS!!

Answers is at least 80% troll questions, and you're worried about the (temporary) loss of comments. The less people are allowed to post, the better. What a dumpster fire.

Why did Yahoo even remove comments before reading the results of the survey? May WE users had some say in this. As I read the the comments and see the votes. Comments should be put back before we all just abandon you for good, or maybe create our own Q&A site with less authoritarian views.

Yahoo is no good anymore without the comments. I want to get the pulse on what others are thinking. Surely you have enough surveys by now. Currently looking for an alternative source of news WITH comments!
Bring back comments, get rid of the Anonymous Coward questioners.

it seems the comments section, was always against the idea of whatever story was being pushed by yahoo, or is it an algorithm of sorts? if this is the case, it definitely proves to a biased media.especially with all the craziness happening now. yahoo have taken to censorship

bring back the comment section

It good to have comments, as long as they are NOT rude comments to a user's answer to the question. A comment is to help or say why it might be wrong not in a rude or mean way. Even when the users do not know each other. It just some news posting people a comment to it.

I agree what is WRONG with Yahoo. For chrips sake THIS a comment section and the only one we can use. So far 80 comments. Haven't figured out yet that this is THE LAST thing you left us in Answers?

If you consider https://yahoo.uservoice.com/ to be your substitute, go to fix for what is a pathetic excuse comments section(s) pertaining to Yahoo! and their news articles, I highly recommend taking it a step further and hit Yahoo! directly in their wallet:
1. Add https://yahoo.uservoice.com/ to bookmarks bar
2. Google/Mozilla Firefox//Bing/etc: "Yahoo!/Yahoo News"
3. At the top of the search result page, replace the "All" results with "News"
4. Highlight the title of a the Yahoo! news article of your choice you wish to read
5. Right click and use the "Search for [inserted highlighted text]"
6. Choose the original or alternate website source of the article that interests you
7. Copy the source of the article, return back here to https://yahoo.uservoice.com/
8. Paste the news article and proceed to leave your comment
9. 99% of the time https://www.huffpost.com will most likely have a similar news article line-up you are interested in reading on THEIR website and THEY STILL still allow ANY AND ALL comments regardless of political view and will not delete your comments and replies or pull a Yahoo! chicken*** stunt and shadow ban your account.
This will result in a #Loss_Of_Revenue on an #EPIC scale for Yahoo!.

To those saying how much more factual Comments are....are you kidding me? I’ve seen more b s on Comments than I ever have in the media. Comments is FILLED with misinformation and flat out lies. There are myriad, excellent reasons to restore Comments, but veracity isn’t one of them.
Red Foxs commented
They want to spread misinformation or do half-a work and the comments let people see that.

The comments are the most honest part of yahoo story.

Not that it matters. It would be more beneficial to me if Yahoo were to remove my stalker.
