Enhance spam detection
Lately a lot spams have bypassed detection and they all have a very unique garbage like appearance in their subject and sender. Examples for subjects "- ²C'o n G r-@ at°", "H°ealTh", "C°on gr aT <", ".C'o n-g r a t..!". Examples for sender "S A - M s .°", "P'ro Sta Te", "A'ir PodS", "S' AM S.°". It'd seem easy enough if only Yahoo can use NLP to get a basic assessment on how nonsensical these are.

Maybe a massive mail-in campaign to yahoo customer service might get someone's attention.
I tend to doubt it, bit it never hurts to try.
Just open up the obvious spam email, and FORWARD it to:mail.tech@cc.yahoo.com and also to customercare@cc.yahoo.com
Use whatever verbiage/message you want, but feel to copy/paste the following message:
Why does yahoo mail allow this OBVIOUS SPAM to end up in my INBOX instead of going DIRECTLY into my SPAM folder? If yahoo can't filter OBVIOUS SPAM, then why should I continue using yahoo mail? Do you recommend that I switch to GMAIL? If not, then why should I continue using an email that CAN'T filter out OBVIOUS SPAM???

This is OBVIOUSLY a BLATANT ATTEMPT by yahoo to discourage users from continuing to use the basic yahoo email service and make the users feel like they MUST UPGARDE to the PAID email service because of yahoo greed!!! yahoo is more interested in revenue than on customer service/satisfaction. MASSIVE INCOME from advertising is not enough, so the greedy company expects to enhance revenue by getting more money from their users.
I have written the following email to yahoo customer service (and I use that term lightly!) citing dozens of OBVIOUS SPAM EMAILS:
Why does yahoo mail allow this OBVIOUS SPAM to end up in my INBOX instead of going DIRECTLY into my SPAM folder? If yahoo can't filter OBVIOUS SPAM, then why should I continue using yahoo mail? Do you recommend that I switch to GMAIL? If not, then why should I continue using an email that CAN'T filter out OBVIOUS SPAM???Almost every response comes back with all the different ways that the USER can TRY to filter spams, and, of course, lists the option of UPGRADING to the PAID EMAIL program.
These SPAMS are so obvious that FIFTH GRADERS could program the yahoo computers to filter them out. But again, yahoo INTENTIONALLY chooses to focus on ADVERTISEMENT REVENUE and PREMIUM email revenue. Anyone notice that on your list of emails in your INBOX, yahoo has inserted what looks like an email, but in reality, they have SNEAKILY inserted an AD in hopes that the user will inadvertently click on that AD so yahoo could collect MORE AD REVENUE!
I've also written to them asking why I should continue using yahoo with this type of horrible filtering system. NO REPLY, OF COURSE!!!
I don't expect things to change because it's ALL ABOUT CORPORATE GREED!!!

I'm agreeing with alot of these comments already listed. I went from maybe 7 spam emails a day to
50-60!! If I don't delete them DAILY I will be overwhelmed. This just started recently. And nasty,
x-rated spams on top of this. Is Yahoo doing anything about this??? -

I started watching my Spam Folder. Since yesterday I have almost 800 Spam Emails in my folder. To me this is totally wrong ! I don't need to learn how to seduce girls, or watch a white woman ride a 18" African " Member. I served in Vietnam in the NAVY. I have NEVER been at ANY Marine base, or even flew over one. When I Unsubscribe, why do I get more Emails. Then there is the " **** Coffee " What ever that is. Then we have, " Get a harder erection with lots more ***** " So, Yahoo, how do we get rid of the UNWANTED SPAM ?

There has been a swarm of spam emails straight into the INBOX from mail ids starting with "newsletters". There is no regex way to control this. I cannot keep on blocking these email ids. If I block one now, the next hour something else come up. I have tried to raise ticket but it does not work at all. In 'Contact Us' section, it does not go to next steps after 'Choose product' step.
Example spam email ids: newsletters@rebel.digitalocrural.com, newsletters@law.digitalloo.com , newsletters@law.digitalloo.com ,newsletters@gem.goffixer.com and it goes on.. Kindly do something. It is very irritating to see these emails filled up in the inbox and clean every hour. -

New WAVE of Spam getting straight to the INBOX much of which is Job Offers or Job Search
Seeing it in the SPAM folder too, but much is getting through and needs individual domain blocks. -

You don't filter spam at all and I'm abandoning Yahoo because of it. My email account gets drowned in spam relating to every single unrelated search I do. I'm so sick of blocking and reporting.
You are a joke. -

Legitimate mail are constantly being classified as spam by Yahoo.
It does not matter mark them as not spam. Still classified as spam!

I have been marking the same emails as spam for a month and they are STILL getting through. It's ridiculous. I've never lived at Camp LeJune.

Generally I find that spam is identified as Spam. My problem is with those emails that have a " or graphic in the email address cannot be blocked. Most times the "Block" option does not show in the dropdown menu. If it does show up in the drodown menu, I get an error message that the sender cannot be blocked. It is getting really annoying.

Sorry to inform you, but due to enormous amount of spam to the point I am delete the spam folder regularly that contains over 100 spam emails a day. This to much. I will be closing this account soon. Not allowing me to migrate my emails over to another yahoo account I created recently is crazy. Only if I try your yahoo plus for trial which requires my check visa info. This is not a way to treat your long time users of your platform. If you cannot prevent spam bombing to your customers
accounts, then why would you think we should trust you with our financial info. The integrity of this company has gone to **** in a handbasket. Charging your customers for an upgrade to protect them from hackers, and spam bombers is outrageous. You have already compromise our email security to be breach on more than one occasion, which left us to be targeted by hackers, and spam bombers. No we who have used your platform for years will not trust you, or paid for a subscription that should be free considering yahoo's breach. Ms. Cooper -
