Only accept news contributions that are really news. Regurgitating social media posts is not reporting news. “Twitter blew up”. “This broke the internet” “this story went viral”. Just dumb.

A social media post is no different than a OpEd. In fact I prefer the social media posts of average citizens, on particular subject, than the Opinion pieces that certain people write and get posted so we're subjected to those 'certain preferred' people's opinions.
