Postmaster

Welcome to the Yahoo Mail Postmaster Forum!

This forum is to gather feedback and suggestions from email senders to Yahoo Mail. If you are any organization (a university, government entity, email marketing business, or an Internet service) that sends email to Yahoo users this is the place to voice your ideas.

Be sure to check out http://postmaster.yahoo.com for some common questions and deliverability best practices recommended by Yahoo for senders before posting. Please use this form to contact customer care for specific issues.

We are always looking for ways to improve Yahoo Mail. Working closely with the email sending community is important for us to continue providing the best in class service to Yahoo Mail users.
We look forward to your creative thoughts and a constructive dialogue together.

Best regards,
Yahoo Mail Postmaster Team

The Yahoo product feedback forum now requires a valid Yahoo ID and password to participate.

You are now required to sign-in using your Yahoo email account in order to provide us with feedback and to submit votes and comments to existing ideas. If you do not have a Yahoo ID or the password to your Yahoo ID, please sign-up for a new account.

If you have a valid Yahoo ID and password, follow these steps if you would like to remove your posts, comments, votes, and/or profile from the Yahoo product feedback forum.

How can we improve your Postmaster experience?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

the message i receive when contact yahoo is:

    [{LRT=10/31/2018 8:59:43 AM};{LED=451 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded
with: "421 4.7.0 [TSS04] Messages from x.x.x.x temporarily deferred due to
    user complaints - 4.16.55.1; see
    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/postmaster/SLN3434.html." Attempted failover to alternate
host, but that did not succeed. Either there are no alternate hosts, or delivery
failed to all alternate hosts. The last endpoint attempted was
    98.136.101.117:25};{FQDN=mta6.am0.yahoodns.net};{IP=98.136.101.117}]

  3. Returned email from 5 years ago.

I just received a returned email I sent out 5 years ago. Might be a red flag on your servers. Just thought I'd let you know.

  4. MONITORING TOOLS by Yahoo

I suggest Yahoo to build up Postmaster tools where email senders will be able to follow up their domain and IPs reputation. Similar, like it is for other top ISPs - posmaster.mail.ru, postmater.google.com, MS SNDS.

  5. Yahoo Complaint Feedback Loop Service

Working for an ESP, we receive hundreds of new domains to add each month to YFBL service. All is done manually, meaning that for each of the new domains we need to fill a new form.

Not only that, but we only receive verification codes for about 1/5 of all the forms we fill.

It'd be amazing if Yahoo could come up with an alternative for having to fill forms individually per domain.

Also, it'd be fantastic if, in the email we receive after requesting the code, the code and domain to which it refers to, would come up in…
