With new system I cannot add a contact to an existing email list. What happened?
I can no longer assign individual contacts to a email distribution list. You keep messing with something that worked great. Please restore yahoo email classic, NOW!
Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately, editing existing lists or creating new lists is not currently possible.
We are working on bringing this functionality to the new Contacts pane as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and your feedback as we work on making Contacts in Yahoo Mail a more streamlined and unified experience.
Thank you,
Mail Admin

How in the world do you implement something "new" while decreasing functionality? Why even have contact lists if they can't be edited? You missed the target by a mile with this "upgrade."

Ok Yahoo, this is about the last straw. Instead of the contact lists I created and saved and use for multiple purposes, you have replaced it with all the emails I've received so even if I export it, it is full of **** I'll never want or need instead of the contact list I created, where some contacts didn't have an email. Can you warn people before you erase and replace valuable data? I can no longer pull up addresses of people I send MAIL to. I can't see any detail when I try to click on a contact, it just creates a new email. Have you people used OUTLOOK? Take a look at what people want to have access to when they create a contact and how you can view details about contacts and take yourselves back to the drawing board with your ridiculous "improvements" ie ruining lives...

Where are all my existing contacts that were there before the update?

It is unfortunate that we can't edit existing lists because you've managed to drop some members from a fairly large list and now I don't know who has been dropped. They can't get the regular communications.

Another update ? that puts contacts in far right column, but can't add them to existing group lists. Really don't care about history and how many documents they and I sent to each other. Please bring the simple, easy and working way back. Also the Help doesn't reflect this new look or anything on the internet. HELP!

Please bring back GROUPS to the contact list. In the classic version I had my contacts grouped by type and now these groups are gone.
They were a handy feature and I'd like to see them brought back to the LEFT side of the screen as they were in the past. -

I want my contact categories back. I have several specific lists of individuals that I need to keep together when I sent e-mails and now I can't fine the list that I can click off the names. Why did you mess up with one of the great features of your e-mail? I see that several other individuals want this list back and yet I don't see any changes being made. Without the list of groups, you are making sending group e-mails hard and tedious.

Click Settings on the top right-hand side, then at the bottom click switch back to classic mail, while in classic mail do all your deleting, editing etc, then log off. log back on and switch back to Upgraded mail! worked for me as of 1/7/2019

Must I say you guys are poor at customer service. You change things without any consideration for the fact that you aren't even ready and you ***** up people's lives. It just might be time to find a different email program. Figure it out before you cram it down our throats. The old system worked great! Oh not to mention you can't even call anyone for support. Really awesome

If the free email has this many glitches, why would I want to pay for the premium version. Wouldn't I get the same old for $5 per month? If you would like to get people to move to the paid version, get the free one to work flawlessly or no one will be interested.

Minimum allow us to go back to the original email application which worked fine. The current iteration is not helpful and really is worthless.

And these comments go back to November 24 and this email application still isn't fixed? Wow! Please take care of business. I have been with Yahoo Mail since 2000? What gives? Help me here.

Forcing this upgrade before the user contact portion is ridiculously poor customer service.. How are we supposed to use this product if it's not completely functional for distribution lists.. O.M.G!

AMEN!! Where is the option to delete contacts?? Might as well go back to the old email. Yahoo just can't seem to get things right. Why keep changing stuff that doesn't need changing?

And I thought I must be going blind when I couldn't find an easy way to delete contacts. Now I realize there is no easy way.
