Revisit the basics... Simplified to simply frustrate?
I’ve mostly abandoned the yahoo account that I used in the late 90s & early 00s... I’ve returned out of curiosity after noting the “use it or lose it” message from Yahoo about my account (while pursuing what’s come into my gmail account recently :-). I’m also currently a VZW subscriber, so I’m mildly interested in what Verizon Media is up to.
When I looked at the contents of my long-ignored Yahoo Mail inbox using chrome on my larger iPad Pro, I quickly wanted to select groups of messages by sender and act on them, but couldn’t. Just one example of quickly hitting limitations in Yahoo Mail. Modern email is about sorting through tons of **** to view and act on what’s personally important.
What appears to be most important to Yahoo is showing me paid ads disguised as the first message of my Inbox and every folder (including the Spam folder :-). Is there really an active Product Team trying to make Yahoo Mail good enough to thrive in the faces of Google, Apple & Microsoft in 2020? If so, I’d be curious to read their MRD...
