There are some emails that did not show up, at least for a while on the iPhone. Not because of delay in transmission. Just because they would not show up on the iPhone, while they were visible on the web version of Yahoo. I had three cases like this so far, including the last one this morning when I tried to open an email but there was a problem and I could not read the message, and then the message disappeared from my mailbox. Before that I thought I was crazy and missed /did not notice emails from people trying to reaching out to me, but actually there was just a problem of showing up. I hope you understand this is a real technical issue, not a delay in transmission.
