I'm not going to whitelist you in adblocker. If you keep dropping features and making it harder to use, I'll switch to GMail.
Alienating customers is a bad idea. You have too many ads so I put on adblocker. Now you are cutting features and functionality. Keep it up and I'll switch to GMail.

I have been with yahoo since the 90s. Internet costs are already way too high. Why should I pay for internet and then have the internet make money off of what was once a free service? Whoever came up with this "brainstorm" should be fired. Note that I found that emoji especially annoying. Ignore your customers and they will disappear. I will now delete the last of my two accounts.

I did white list you.... you sent me back to the original Yahoo anyhow! I'm not white listing you anymore! Quit harassing me, every time I click on an email! Leave me alone!

With the sudden changes and problems with my email, I wondered if my account had been hacked or infected. Yahoo should have sent out notices to it's customers warning of the upcoming changes. With many people working from home due to the pandemic, you are creating chaos for those of us who are having severe issues with our computers due to your programming. As previous people stated, if Yahoo keeps making it harder and inconvenient to use, I will definitely change over to gmail. I should have done it years ago. As previous people stated, Yahoo is the reason we installed adblockers in the first place! I'm hoping Yahoo will fix this issue or I will be moving my account and changing my homepage.

Adding my voice to all those who have had this email for over 20 years with no issues until now! Ads have nothing to do with the transmission of email and should not even be a factor on how it is is used! If I want my own ad blocker, that is my choice! I should not be reminded every five minutes to turn it off if I don't want! I have two other email accounts that I could use much easier, and have only been still using Yahoo as a convenience because it's what I've used the longest, but not it's not a convenience anymore because of these stupid decisions being forced upon us! Change it back!

Once you f@#ked with setting and are requiring ads, etc. my account keeps blocking what I'm trying to do. I agree 100% with other users that yahoo mail sucks! I came to yahoo because Hotmail sucked and now you're just as bad. I'm moving to Gmail ASAP!

I came here just to make a post with the same reason. I too have used Yahoo for over 20 years but now I am highly annoyed with the AD BS.
Yahoo mail is the main reason I had to install an AD blocker. Everytime I had Yahoo Mail open my CPU and RAM usage would inflate until I installed an AD blocker.
I have no issue going elsewhere if that's how you want to play.

***** yahoo - you are trying to slowly fence us in - it is obvious - you are creating a lot of hostility towards yahoo - you play with us - we can play with you - email is the only thing you really have that retains you as a company - you want to use email ?

I am furious. In this extremely stressful time with a worldwide pandemic when people are relying on their email and internet for communication with loved ones and business contacts, NOW you decide to make even that experience a miserable one? My stress has skyrocketed with your stupid popup wanting me to pay for blocking your annoying ads or live with them? NO way. If this is not changed and if you don't return me to classic Yahoo use, then I am leaving along with all the disgruntled, angry people in the 55 comments below.

I have been thinking I should change my email for awhile, now there is no more procrastination. As soon as I get everything transferred and people notified I am off to gmail. I could have lived with the "take me back to basic" but you managed to even screw that up.

I am going to change to gmail if you continue this feature with the ad blocker pop up. It's annoying and the basic yahoo email is annoying. Either change it back or I will be leaving this service.

Transferring to Gmail. I needed a real excuse and now Yahoo gives me that. I hope this move of yours proves catastrophic. I am giving it 3 more days and I am out of here---jerks!

Why would you want people to unblock ad blockers, Yahoo? I HATE HATE HATE ads, and ads don't have one single bit of influence on my life whatsoever. So, why would I want ads enabled in my Yahoo Mail? Hey Yahoo, why don't you listen to all your disgruntled email users? Or, do you want Yahoo Mail to totally disappear for some reason? It's totally evil trying to FORCE people to disable their ad blockers when they don't want to be subjected to ads. Ads surely aren't going to influence me (and many other people) to buy anything...EVER! SO, get rid of them! And, stop asking us Yahoo Mail users to remove our ad blockers just to see those useless and annoying ads!!!!
-
John B. Jachens commented
I'm NOT going to disable my ad blocker. I will just use the basic Yahoo Mail if that's what I'm forced to do. Oh, and take that little pop-up (or whatever you call it) off of my screen asking me to disable my ad blocker, because I'm NOT going to do that...EVER. I HATE ads!!!!!!!!! Yahoo Mail is becoming very difficult, and because of that, it is total garbage.
