Allow a way to update an obsolete email that was used as an initial Yahoo account username.
I created my account 23 years ago with an email from my business at the time. I am retired now and the email is no longer valid but there isn't a way to update or remove that association from my yahoo account. In the recover section, I get the message This is your Yahoo account username, so it can't be removed. What a pain **********.

completely agree with this! My email was created in the very early days of the internet, when it was thought that you didn't want to use your actual name. I've since been able to add in a more personalized version of my name, yet time and again... and time and again... my yahoo account reverts back to that old email address, with no provocation, confusing people I send it to.
I should be able to update my account, all but removing (retiring) that ancient email from my account. It is used for nothing, other than to cause me repeated frustration.

I have an email from a domain of mine that is expired. I try to delete the email from my list of emails on my yahoo account - but it will not let me remove. It says - "This is your Yahoo account username, so it can't be removed." Crazy. That is why I added new emails to my Yahoo account so that the really old email could be deleted. Why have an email in the system on my Yahoo account if that personal domain email no longer exists. Please help me.
