My father periodically locks himself out of his account and I have to help him regain access. I want to keep using the same password, which he has memorized, but Yahoo won't let me. Instead, every time he fat fingers his password and accidentally sets a new one that he also fat fingers and has no memory of what he set, I have to create yet another one and update all of his e-mail clients on his laptops and hope we don't repeat the cycle the first time his cell phone tells him he has to enter his (new) password in order to access his e-mail there. No one is hacking his e-mail. The user should be the judge of whether a password change is because of a security issue vs because of a senility issue.
