Stop requiring device verification. I know my password.
Look, stuff happens and people lose their phones, change phone plans, upgrade their phones, someone steals their activated sim card, their service shuts off due to lack of payment, etc. It's all happened to me sadly, and there is no preparation for any of these misfortunes. I can't simply log into a new device that i most likely dont even have yet, minutes before I'm unexpectdedly parted with the device(s), let alone verify the new device on my **** email account... THAT I KNOW THE PASSWORD TO AND THE SECURITY QUESTION ANSWERS (that are totally irrelevant now). The security questions are far more secure and you know it, Yahoo!! I have 2 numbers on my account, the oldest number is no good because when i had gotten my phone stolen, i got a new one which had a sim card that was ALSO new. New sim card, new number, ANNNND new device. The second number, by some miracle Yahoo let me slide past the verification process thankfully because the whole "bright idea" was still pretty new, and i updated my account with that new number. Okay so heres where you need to pay attention, Yahoo!! I never needed to verify a device again... untilllll, i switched plans and numbers, upgraded my phone yadda yadda... When it told me to verify device ONCE AGAIN, i almost had a brain aneurism. You ask why, Yahoo!! Why would i be freaking out if its a DEVICE verification process? Oh, i dont know, haha.... I suppose i would not be having this problem if i hadnt removed said device from the safe drawer i kept it in and recycled it with the phone recycling robot that pays top dollar for old electronics... for... $5. LOL. Yahoo!, we have a problem. Let me into my email. There's accounts based off that email that i cannot recover or even recreate (honestly) without access to it. Not to mention all the sweepstakes winner notifications i've missed. Yes, i know its my fault for not being prepared for the unknown, but Yahoo! I blame you too for not emphasizing how important it was to verify every. Single. Device. Stuff happens. For some people devices come and go. For some email accounts dont.... My name is Audri, and i approve this message.
