I thought your email system was supposed to be modern and smart. clearly its not if it cant stop this ****.

I too ,am sick of all the filth you present us with and that you send to my scambox it is not scam, it is close to **** and the block button is useless ,,I have been blocking the same sites for days on end .My account was hacked almost 4 years ago,and for three years I had nothing ,almost everything wiped from my yahoo site .Then it started up again ,out of the blue ,with all this inappropriate ****, Little kids have yahoo accounts ,and should not be subject to what you place before them.I keep wondering am I on some phoney Yahoo created by the hackers

This has happened to my mother-in-law as well. Her account was sending out spam left right and centre, and she was getting "message undelivered" emails back but just thought those message were spam so ignored them. Now her password has been changed so she can't log on, and the only way to retrieve your password it by getting a code to a different email address.... the one the Password Helper mentions is a hotmail address she's never heard of and doesn't recall ever creating! There is no other way, apparently it's "if you don't have access to this other email account, tough ****, create a new Yahoo account".... Does ANYONE know how to you contact these idiots?!?!

I am continually receiving phone calls from my contacts saying they are receiving spam messages from me. I am not happy with this situation as they are just deleting any message that may be associated with me now.Yahoo is supposed to be a safe site clearly it is not....DO SOMETHING YAHOO PLEASE!!!!!! NOT TOMORROW NOW!!!! THIS PROBLEM IS COMMON & HAS BEEN FOR TOO LONG

This has been happening for some time and I have noticed that friends usually get spam emails purporting to be from me after I have logged into my yahoo account. They have sent me copies of the email they receive and I don't recognise some of the names on the list, but others I do - only addresses from my yahoo address book. It's getting so bad that I am not game to log in to yahoo any more!! Obviously I am not the only one - is anything being done to stop this, other than closing the account?

My yahoo mail account is also sending out spam emails to my contacts for some time. These emails are asking tp click onto various sites such as IsabelleFernandez.net/lives
Is there any way to stop this ???
Why cant the security department at yahoo do something about this ??

I closed my yahoo account because changing my password several times did not stop this. Even so people are still getting spam emails from this closed account. Help! The email address which was cancelled is sharyn.speakman@yahoo.com.au Please disable this account permanently

I not only get spam, an attempt (unsuccessfully) was made to extort my stock market shares, I do not use Yahoo any more because it is not secure and would like to delete it from my computer but it is extremely hard to find how to do this.

Hey Yahoo! Perhaps a response would be appropriate as this would be a major concern to me. Lucky for me I only use a yahoo email account to sign up to rubbish websites like facebook and such. I have a Gmail account for all my personal and work commitments, I've never been advised of spamming happening with that acc.

This is also happening to my email address - I now just want to close the account. Yahoo could you please advise how this problem can be resolved - my contacts are frustrated, not only with the spam - but with Yahoo!!

My yahoo address book has been used 3 times over the past month to send out spam to my friends. Is Yahoo doing anything to address this serious problem? How can we communicate direct with Yahoo other than this feedback forum (which appears to be being ignored by Yahoo).

Yes - whole heartedly agree. We know of 6 or 7 people as well as my wife whose yahoo Address Books have been compromised in the last couple of weeks. Many of their contacts are receiving spam email where the senders address has been spoofed to appear as coming from the compromised mailboxes/address book owners.
How about concentrating more on Security and a bit less on those annoying advertisements which we can never switch off properly. Yahoo used to be a good and safe mailbox provider but you have dropped the ball lately.
