Editorial team need to check articles or particularly news articles for spelling and grammar. The Fantastic Furniture article posted by Krystal Johnson, has quite a few! Including a caption under the first photo from Sunrise.
Errors such as:
Could of - 'could have'
'Two of two' ??

Totally agree with you, Claire. The increasingly common use of "could of'' along with other glaringly obvious errors, shows sheer grammatical ignorance and stupidity but you see it and hear it spoken everywhere these days. I don't know what these so-called journalists have been taught in school but am glad I received a good education at a public school and I still read literature. I don't think the world of journalism today understands the concept of proofreading, probably because of the generation(s) they are mostly from with their increased reliance on spellcheck and predictive text. It would be laughable if it wasn't such a tragic decimation of the English language.
