PHOTOS OF GRAPHIC OR DISTRESSING CONTENT FLASHING UP ON MAIN HOME PAGE NEED TO STOP!!!
I sign into Yahoo to check emails and in just the past few days I have been haunted by distressing photos that flash up randomly (obviously being considered that it's something we ALL should see) of shocking cases of animal cruelty. We see all the pictures then written in a little box underneath it, it says "Warning: Graphic or Distressing Content". You have the right to print the story but you DO NOT have the right to have these heartbreaking photos pop up randomly on your home page for EVERYONE to see whether they want to or not.
Instead of showing the distressing photos, you should show the words “DISTRESSING AND GRAPHIC CONTENT” and people can read the box underneath that relates to the story and then choose whether they want to read the story and look at the photos and videos.
I'm having debilitating nightmares after seeing the photo of the man in the middle of inhumanely killing his greyhound dog, the photo of the woman with a dead decapitated baby joey dangling in her mouth, the photo of the starving polar bear dragging itself towards a rubbish bin to try and find food, the photo showing dogs in cages in one of 17,000 dog meat farms in South Korea. And these are all in the past couple of days.
I’m still haunted by other distressing photos that you have randomly displayed recently:- the photo of the puppy that had boiling water poured over it and it had to be put down, the photo of the puppy with both its ears cut off, the kangaroo with the arrow through its head, the dog that was frozen alive in a block of ice which even included a lovely photo of it’s terrified eye looking straight at the camera, the dog that was found suffocated to death by having it’s mouth taped shut… I could go on and on.
I now have nightmares EVERY night and cry EVERY day because I can’t get these images out of my head.
People should have the choice on whether they want to see these images or not.
THIS HAS TO STOP!!!
