I am writing to express my concerns regarding the Yahoo! News homepage, to which I am redirected every time I log out of my e-mail account. I opted not to indicate "local news" as the category for this message, because very little of that news is local.

Almost all of it, however, is trash: complete and utter trash. The "stories" that aren't blatant advertisements for on-line retailers make supermarket tabloids look like serious journalism by comparison.

You ought to be ashamed. There are important events going on in the world, and yet you present nothing of them. It's all garbage, and hucksterism.

It's no wonder the world is in the sorry state it's in, when this tripe is given the label of "news."
