I posted this before and thank you very much for DELETING MY POST by combining it with another complaint about the same issue. It is DISHONEST to misrepresent the number of people who are upset about this by doing so.
It is unbelievably distracting to have an ad in BOLD at the very top of my inbox, inline with my real emails. You can put the ad ANYWHERE but there. Putting advertising in my inbox is called SPAM. At least have a way to close it after FORCING me to read it over and over and over. I've had an account with Yahoo for many years but this is by far the best way to destroy any customer relationship you have with me and many others from the number of suggestions on this forum. It is hardly as if there aren't any other email providers out there, and none of them pull this kind of stupid stunt without at least the ability to CLOSE the **** ad. I have taken to reading my email only on a third party platform because of this dirty tactic. That is one step away from deleting the account entirely.
