Add Option for Custom Scoring for Upsets
I've been using CBS Sports for years, but I want to switch over to Yahoo! for March Madness, as I have all my Football Fantasy leagues.
I've been trying to perfect the scoring inbalance, and I feel put together a competitive way to incentivize upsets without it being too overbearing. I would love Yahoo! to offer customization for upset scoring. Here's what I've come up with:
STANDARD SCORING:
First Four = 1 point (I put out Google Form survey to collect people's responses)
First Round = 1 point
Second Round = 2 points
Sweet Sixteen = 4 points
Elite Eight = 8 points
Final Four = 16 points
Champion = 32 points
UPSET POINTS:
Bonus points will be applied in addition to Standard Scoring for the First Two Rounds only:
First Round:
(10) beats (7) = +1 point
(11) beats (6) = +2 points
(12) beats (5) = +3 points
(13) beats (4) = +4 points
(14) beats (3) = +5 points
(15) beats (2) = +6 points
(16) beats (1) = +7 points
Second Round:
Bonus points will be applied in addition to Standard Scoring as a Seed Difference, but you must have the correct match-up in order to get credit.
For example, in the Second Round if you correctly pick:
(6) Louisville over (3) Michigan State = You receive +3 bonus points (6 seed - 3 seed = 3 points)
Any possibility of creating this level of custimization (selecting ROUND, then outcome for each upset with a point value)?
Thank you!
