More clarity on subscription options
Hi, I just noticed a vague note in my YahooMail app saying my storage limit changed and I would be notified if I hit the new limit. This is WAY too little information for an important notice! What the heck? I searched online to find news stories talking about the change. I am just below the new 20 GB limit so have been trying to look into the options and it has been really confusing—Yahoo seems to have no webpage that shows all of the subscription options on one page or chart. This is really frustrating and it feels like it could be manipulative. Also, in the app it shows two different YahooMail Plus options—one that’s just for mobile and app ($1.99/month) and one that is also for desktop ($4.99/month). However in the app neither mention the 200 GB of storage that supposedly comes with YahooMail Plus as mentioned in news articles. And on the Yahoo website only the $4.99/month YahooMail Plus subscription is mentioned. I want to find out if the $1.99/month mobile only YahooMail Plus plan also includes the 200 GB but can’t find that information anywhere. Also the page on the yahoo site with the 100 GB and 1 TB plans listed doesn’t include information on YahooMail Plus which is unfortunate and confusing. All the options should be transparent and straightforward so customers can figure out what plan would be best for them. This is basic customer service. Please fix it. And I am also frustrated that apparently I can’t even contact someone in support without having a certain type of subscription. Seriously? I have been a YahooMail user for 25 years, usually free (ad supported) but sometimes I’ve been a YahooMail Plus subscriber (though that’s not listed in the “cancelled subscription” section of the site for some reason). If Yahoo wants to survive and thrive it needs its most loyal and committed customers. Please make it easier for us to learn about the subscription options. I value YahooMail and am willing to pay a small subscription price but I don’t want to be given the run around while I try to figure out the options. Thank you.
