I want to enable 2-step verification using either Yahoo app push or an authenticator app. I already have one verified recovery phone number and access to my Yahoo app on my iPhone.
Yahoo nevertheless requires me to add a second recovery phone number or email address before I can enable 2-step verification. I do not have a second phone number and I deliberately do not want to create an additional email account solely for recovery purposes, as this creates another account and potential attack surface.
Can you enable 2-step verification with my existing verified phone number plus app push/authenticator, or confirm whether there is another supported method without adding a second recovery contact?
