Someone's idea that a graphical-category-based home page would work should be shelved. It hasn't worked elsewhere and it definitely won't work with a Yahoo type site. It's not the way I work practically, and suspect most people either. Plus, the good things about My Yahoo page are thrown out: the simple portfolio and the ready movie listings. The Financial > Portfolio is ok for editing but is too cluttered with info for regular use. I know, because I've used both and always reverted to the simple design of the MyYahoo portfolio for many times a day use. There's also no Local and no Maps. And there's little news and lots of empty space. Just the opposite of what's needed.

I look forward to some other site or start-up seeing what's going on and filling the need that Yahoo is abandoning.
