Why change something that was not broken? And, why did you not let your users know of the impending changes? You just change the format without asking your customer base? It does not even look like you did any polling to see what changes your customers would like to see in this new format. It looks like someone got a wild hair up their , woke up one morning, and said, let me see how I can * off my company's customers.
