If you don't stop all of these ads for ad blockers bombarding my screen, I am leaving Yahoo for good.
I have been a loyal Yahoo user since the 1990's, but it if you don't stop all of the ads for ad blockers bombarding my screen, I am leaving Yahoo for good.

Stop with the ad blocking pop up when I read my mail. It's annoying and not a benefit to your site.

For some reason now running an ad blocker reverts my mailbox to the way I loved it years ago. :) :) :) Never going to stop ad block and I'm going to enjoy the classic feel. Stupid to change your layout ever few years. How much money does that stupidity cost? Every couple of years?
Thanks for giving me the classic back a-holes. -

Yahoo mail is about the only reason I have left to use Yahoo, maybe other than finance. I'm not turning off my adblocker to use your new email, and the old version is right out of 1988. Do you really think the new version is so great that people will willingly watch ads for it? Get over yourselves and keep what few people you have left. Get rid of the "turn off your adblocker" nonsense.

I have ad blocker and you have ruined yahoo mail because I can't even open my mail because you won't let me without unblocking ads. Stupid

We have had our yahoo.com email for over 20 years and we are not switching to gmail accounts. If Yahoo wonders why they are losing people left and right to gmail, here is a reason. We have young daughters and the ads yahoo has on mail are super inappropriate and so we blocked the ads using Adblocker. Now yahoo is requiring us to whitelist yahoo (no way) or pay $3.99 a month per account (heck no!).

Your ad block detector took me to mail basic and it's way better. Is there a way to use it permanently?

I feel exactly the same way. I use the Firefox browser and recently opened an AOL free email account, no ads there.

We have had a business email address for longer than I have been employed at this job, which is 10 years, and never had a problem until recently. I installed an ad blocker nearly a year ago and, again, no problem until last week when a message appeared on screen asking if I wanted to continue ad blocking and go back to basic mail or unblock the ads and continue with the mail as it had been for years. I wasn't aware that I wasn't using basic mail, in fact, when it switched many years ago, from whatever mail it was then to what it is now, it wasn't an "upgrade" or considered "pro" it was simply the newest version of email. I don't recall being given the option to switch back after a period of time but, regardless, it's been this version of email for many years then, suddenly, ad blocking is not permitted on this version and you are switched back to the archaic, antiquated version. In my opinion, corporate greed is ruining the internet. I refuse to use Chrome because every page is littered with ads, so much so, that you sometimes can't tell where the article is you were reading and are unsure what to click on to advance to the next section of an article because it is probably another ad you are clicking on, which is, I'm sure, the intent of placing the ad where it is. It's deceitful and disgusting. I can't imagine there are too many people that buy products thru an ad like that, not enough to justify the number of ads on a given page. Installing an ad blocker is like breathing fresh air, it's SO nice not to be bombarded with ads. So nice, in fact, that I opened an AOL account so that I can phase out our Yahoo mail account. If you want to force ads down people's throats, your customers will eventually leave and go somewhere that doesn't. There is too much competition out there that doesn't feel the need to ruin one of the greatest inventions in history. Mozilla Firefox. Enough said. You should take a look at that company and get some ideas from them. It's proof positive that a company can be successful without jamming the internet and people up with ads.

FYI Yayhoo. NO, absolutely no way will I disable my ad blocker so you can make a buck off advertisers selling **** I have no use for. I'm on the verge of pulling your plug and using another browser. Think!, you need me a lot more than I need you.

I was just in the process of letting Yayhoo know that I will NOT, under any circumstances, disable my ad blocker, when I saw your post. Totally agree with you, Heather. I don't use the internet to look at ads for **** I'll never buy.

I prefer the basic mail that you're "punishing" me with for having an ad blocker. I've wanted it back since the advanced interface was introduced, but I was too lazy to bother figuring out if I could.
Why would I get rid of an interface I prefer AND start getting ads I don't want? In fact, you rewarded some fairly persistent laziness on my part. Thank you for enabling me.
