You should provide more statistical information about the posting activity of users who post in the comment section.
When we click on the name of a user, it would be great to see more information about their posting activity than what is currently provided.
Specifically, it would be good to see such things as when the account was created, how many posts total and how many posts in the past 24 hours, the past month and past year. It would be especially helpful to see the average number of posts per day, month and year. And this statistical info should be available about all users who post a comment, with no exceptions.
This type of information would make it easier to identify those users who are actively and aggressively trying to raise the level of toxicity in the comment section. It would also help identify users who may be foreign actors, ideologues, extremists or just imbalanced users,
A bonus idea: allow all yahoo users to filter out comments based upon this activity info. I.e., don't show me any comments from users who post more than x comments per day/week/year.
The comment section has become quite toxic again, but most of the toxicity appears to come from a smaller group of users who actively and aggressively post malicious comments.
Without even getting into the content of comments, providing much better statistical info about a user's posting activity would allow all yahoo users to better see what's going on. And it would be even better if we could selectively filter out "overly active" users to reduce the noise.
Thanks
