“Desktop version browsing” of Yahoo Mail on iPadOS 13’s Safari & Chrome browsers
Since your Yahoo Mail App update and the iPadOS 13 launch I am unable to view the “desktop version” of Yahoo Mail on my iPad using Safari and Chrome web browser, in spite of me requesting for the “desktop mobile site version” endlessly.
iPadOS 13’s big promise is “desktop class browsing” on the latest Safari browser. Majority of the websites I view using the Safari browser are showing the desktop versions since the launch of iPadOS 13.
Yahoo Mail keeps forcing the mobile version of mail on Safari and Chrome browser.
Did Yahoo specifically discontinue this option to view full version of mail on Safari and Chrome on iPad? Or is this a bug?
There are times that the full version of mail is fully required. The Yahoo Mail App and its web mobile versions aren’t just enough and adequate. Changing settings of my Yahoo Small Business mail accounts require full desktop version browsing. Which I was able to do with my iPad previously. I use my iPad as my main computer.
Your Mail App and web mobile versions are very limiting. In the age where tablet computing is dominating you need to allow “Desktop version browsing on the iPad via its Safari, Chrome or Firefox browsers or just simply upgrade your Mail App and web mobile version’s features to reflect the same full desktop features.

Same situation. It’s almost 1 year. How come Yahoo doesn’t fix it. Some features I can’t use when I’m using my iPad/ iPhone. Even the Yahoo Mail App doesn’t provide that feature. Why user must use the mobile version instead of desktop version?

Totally agree! WE NEED THE DESKTOP VERSION OF YAHOO! MAIL ON iPadOS SAFARI, CHROME, FIREFOX BROWSERS.
I have the same exact sentiment. Changing YahooSmallBusiness email settings requires the full desktop version. My iPad is my only computer. Apple already fixed this and adjusted to our desktop needs by adding the “request for desktop version” feature.
Why can’t you do the same for us VERIZON YAHOO!? Keep up please! We have a paid subscription with you. Our points are very valid. This day and age iPad’s have become computer replacements. Desktop versions of your services have become necessities.
The over simplified versions of your iOS and iPadOS mail Apps just don’t make sense anymore for the computing power required nowadays. It’s July 2020. We need a the full desktop version over on iPadOS Safari Browser.
Please work on this with urgency.

There’s more than his post about this problem I’m surprised it got to stay. I made a post and was video and post to Facebook. I don’t use Facebook but the real question is why are y’all not trying to fix it. because I know y’all have to have a iPad around in your office it should be happening to you to. What I think is since Verizon but yahoo I would like to know how many of people having this problem are AT&T customers or were. Sounds like something a lawyer should look into.

I agree. Why do you override your users’ explicit requests for the desktop version of the site? I need the desktop features to “clean up inbox” and “select all unscarred messages” as examples, which are inexplicably missing from the dumbed-down mobile versions.

I am not the OP, but I sometimes use an external keyboard. It makes no difference in the appearance of YM in the browser. Still the abbreviated mobile version. I don't use a mouse with the iPad.

I agree. I’m not sure why you feel it’s necessary to force the mobile view on someone who specifically wants the desktop experience. Why do you think you know better than me what I need?
