Have a block all comments option in our accounts
Too many robots, trolls, and scammers in the comment section. Too much trash and I really rather just turn off all comments. Since I doubt Yahoo will do this, we need the option of blocking comments to all stories.

Don't read them if they bother you. But explain why other people should not be allowed to express an opinion.

You have to actually click on the "comment" button to view them. If youd rather not see the comments, then dont look!

My local paper has no thumbs down option. You can vote a comment up or you can reply and make your case against it. I've seen factual comments here voted down because someone didn't want to hear the truth. How is that helping the viewing public? Trolls won't like it but if you're relying on trolls to keep your news section relevant, you've already failed.

Free speech and the ability to have a voice is The constitution. Just because Sally Jones says it's me does not mean it's truly Sally Jones. Ppl are here to read and apply a post. As long as it's decent and non threatening other ppl don't have to agree nor convert to the ideaolgy of anyone's post.
Yahoo it is another basic right to free speech being stripped away bit by bit during this attempt to remove constitutional rights!.. Yahoo when you censor and remove free speech content on any comment in posts! -

I totally agree with you. Yahoo's comment section used to be really interesting. It's now become useless due to trolls bots, scammers, paid commenters, etc. It should be discontinued altogether !
