You're really suspending comments on your articles? Are you trying to bankrupt yourself?
You're really suspending comments on your articles? Are you trying to bankrupt yourself? I certainly don't come to your news website for non bias objective reporting on news. I come here to have an open dialogue with people that have different opinions than me. Without a comment section your news Outlet is next to worthless...

The views of "V Lane" on 3/27/21 are why comments have been discontinued. Unless everyone agrees with her or him (or both), no one gets to comment anymore and Yahoo lacks the spine to stand up to someone who is so insignificant but instead does so against the rest of us who actually are, regardless of the side we're on.

Well, comments are chock full of weird conspiracy theorists, bigots, and bot responses. No one's right to free speech is being violated. If you want to speak about Yahoo's articles, you are absolutely free to do so on your own page. No one is stopping you. Personally, reading articles without 25 drunk racist uncles chiming in will be wonderful. I'm no longer interested in uncle Bobby-Jim telling us how microchips are being implanted in citizens via Tom Hanks and Bill Gates' secret murder-lasers hidden in Brentwood pigeons. Good riddance. I'm happy to switch from Google to Yahoo if I don't have to watch racist Aunt Rose tell us how immigrants are poisoning her water supply. Good riddance, comments. I look forward to not posting another one of these.

Yep Yahoo is Boohoo if you you have a different opinion.I won’t read the responses that yahoo gives nor will I read the opinions they so readily share. They make no attempt to look at both sides of a discussion. They only are interested in their side which is very biased. For me they are only the dirt road I must take to get on the super highway of non- biased reporting of the days news!!!

This is a complete repression of freedom of speech. Journalists have editors, don't they? That's for grammar and diction. Reader feedback is for content. This is a travesty.

So agree. I won’t go on here anymore because first of all your reporting is not factual and requires discussion. Very few times are things verified and borders on gossip.

Yahoo is about six levels lower than the national enquirer. All the articles they post are headlined to attack Trump and sway voters to vote demonrat. If anyone is reading yahoo for journalistic integrity they are in the wrong place. Yahoo is kin to communist party media. Real trash.

Obvious way to silence people from discussing yahoos heavily one sided propaganda that they disguise as news. Just because yahoo silenced and dissenting opinion doesn’t make them go away or change people’s minds

They tried this before years ago when they partnered with Katie Couric and so they could make money from twitter, FB and the social media juggernauts at the time. You couldnt comment on katies articles either. They changed thumbs up/down to stupid hearts. It was a complete failure. The majority of thier users actually use the site because of the interaction with other users and banter about the article which is usually missing vital content. Of course dim people are going to whine about types of stories they dont personaly like, that theres bias or theres some conspiracy to block them because they for some reason expect the news to be formatted just for them. But the overwhelming bulk dont. So what if a commenter calls out a bad article if something doesnt make sense. Someone doesnt have to read or respond to comments if they dont like it.
It was their choice to click on them.
This is not a free speech issue even though we have morons who cant understand that but the comment section is the only thing that sets Yahoo news apart from other news sources. Taking that away loses more viewers than keeping it. I'll be using other sites until comments return. Of course you only see complaints. People arent going to give feedback on things they like. Theres no post your support forums.
The site is censored to death and there is a block option, plus, again, you actually have to CHOOSE to click to read the comments. You can read the stories without reading the comments. It makes no sense to take away the ONLY thing that sets the site apart from other sites.
Bring it back WITH thumbs up and down. -

Do not become a muzzle. Your stories include strong opinions as well as much falsehood. Yahoo users’ voices deserve better than to be suspended. If you use YOUR mouth to offer stories, do not be so evil as to shut OUR mouths for having anything to say!!! BAD DECISION TO SUSPEND COMMENTS!! FIX IT NOW!!!!

Yahoo's opinion is the only ones that matter. We little people are not capable of having discourse or differing opinions. Debate is dead.

New low for Yahoo. No reason to go to the sight other than my 20 year old email account.
It was one of the few places with free speech. -

Yahoo, you’re just upset because people are calling out the fact that your “journalists” are below mediocre in writing abilities and research capabilities. You provide liberal biased views dripping with opinion. Did you ever think that’s why readers mock your articles? They’re a joke, better than the National Enquirer! Hopefully, with this censored break, your staff can go over the basics of grammar, provide unbiased information(psst, actual news), and steer clear of Hollywood so called news! See ya Yahoo!
