Thank you for removing the comment sections
I love reading the news articles but the comment boards is a cesspool of bigotry, apathy and misinformation. I will participate in the comments due to being appalled by the amount of lies from bots, the joy people expressed when a tragedy occurred amongst other hateful rhetoric.
Please, for the sake of democracy, do not bring back the comment sections. Individuals sadly spend their Entire day commenting Misinformation in attempts to sway people’s minds on topics.

Maybe those that are afraid of reading comments or afraid of seeing another side of a story should not read them?
Your post “ Misinformation in attempts to sway people’s minds on topics“
Without the comment section we are relegated to believing everything that is printed on yahoo.

Well here is the thing.. You have to click on the comments section to even see it! So if you don’t like the comment section you do not have to read them nor of course comment. You have that choice. Now for those that read/comment in that section they won’t have a choice if they don’t bring it back.

I fully agree. Thank you Yahoo for pushing the step forward of removing these comment boards. On every comment section, I found zero value add of lifting up the quality and positive possibilities of human discourse and exchange/contemplation of ideas. I found these sections to be menageries typifying the worst parts of our human nature. I fully support removal of these comment sections moving forward.
