Thanks for asking our input
Our community hopes Yahoo is sincere in seeking improvement for Yahoo Basic Mail. Myself and others are taking our valuable time to tell the Yahoo organization what needs to be restored in Basic Mail, simply..... because we care. Hopefully, the director of Yahoo basic mail design will restore these essential basic features and refrain from future whimsical, harmful efforts to fix what is not broken. For me, three basic issues require attention; two regarding the contacts page and one regarding passing on content. 1) In the Contacts page: Preference check boxes in front of the list of email contacts have been deleted. Those boxes need to be restored allowing preference choices to include "assign to contact group", or allow contacts to be added to any specific group while on a group page. 2) Also, in the Contacts page: The useless Nickname column needs to be replaced with telephone number column. 3) Allow emails to be passed or forwarded in the same format as received. Everything else can remain as it is.
All these features were available and worked well until Marissa Mayer assumed leadership following her failures over at Google. Assuming these issues will be fixed, thank you very much.
