Try using a browser that you can ad a "web mail ad blocker". I do. No annoying ads to the right of the emails and no ad above the list of emails. It does not block the annoying "Trending on Yahoo home page" pop-up

Yes, I am having the same problem too. Google ads are annoying and they are superseding the settings that Yahoo is giving.

I agree!! this is disruptive and hinders the ability to open and read an email. I am going to move all of my emails to Gmail is this continues. this new email formate is horrible!!
