delete groups of emails.
I can delete one email or ALL emails. But I can't delete selected 'group' of emails. I would like to delete by page and/or from my position in email list to bottom of list. As Is, I rarely delete any emails.

I just want them to separate the **** box you have to click from the email itself. So when you have to click through 18 emails to delete them. You don't click the email. Open the email. And then have to click 18 emails again.

Mark the box next to the first email you want to delete. Then scroll down to the last email to delete. Press and hold the Shift Key then click the box next to that last email. It will select all the emails you want to delete. Click on the delete button. It may take a few moments before the action is complete.

I'm using IE11 RT on Surface RT with Windows 8.1 RT (RT is Run Time since ARM processor and not Intel compatible) I haven't signed into Yahoo for quite a while and the new interface is clean but I do not want to be forced to delete tens or hundreds of emails one checkbox at a time. The solution in comment from Barbara Williams here, is what I thought I'd be able to do. However I find "Shift+click" for selecting range of emails from first selected to last selected, nor "Cntl+click" for selecting multiple random emails, do nothing. All I can do is click each checkbox one at a time. Very frustrating.

You can check first email you want deleted and then go to the last one in a group and hold down shift key and then check the last email it will check all emails in the group you want to delete.
