This change in format is no usable. The sidebar is useless to most of us. Could easily made into a drop-down for those who want it….or just shown way down below.
Please give us an option for the full page classical view.
I have been using this portfolio view for more years that I remember, but now have to find another option.
It makes no sense to me that you would try to fix something that is not broken, and then ***** it all up for your followers. Bring back the CLASSIC! -

You have taken the best possible format, one that was intuitive, user friendly and loved by millions, and replaced it with a format that is counter productive.
Please make the Classic View an option again. PLEASE! -

If you won't go back to Classic, then at the very least make it possible to move the right hand vertical window with Market data to a Horizontal window across the page. I have custom view with about 10 columns, and with your new format, 2+ columns aren't visible because they are hidden by that stupid right hand Market Data Banner.
I even turned off everyone of the selections in that right hand window, but "Market Data" isn't able to be turned off.
You make something that's very flexible and informative almost worthless with POOR DESIGN CHANGES !!!!

The new version does not even load properly on my chromebook.
The classic version worked perfectly. We need the option to use the version that works.
I will be forced to use other platforms until Yahoo fixes their horrible programming decisions. -

@Gab - thanks for the finviz suggestion. It looks OK, though I can't see all the data I want on my portfolio unless there is a way to add columns to the view that I haven't found. Their news list looks to be the closest to the old Yahoo Finance news, but even better because you can uncheck sources that are behind paywalls you don't have access to.
I checked out Seeking Alpha yesterday and like their portfolio view, but it seems like to read any of their news articles, you have to be a premium subscriber.
Google Finance is worse than the new Yahoo Finance- you don't get very much data and it seems to be designed for viewing on a phone screen, not a real monitor.
Marketwatch doesn't seem suited for portfolios.
Any other ideas? I haven't looked at Morningstar in a while. I remember everything interesting being behind a paywall.
Right now, it seems like the best hope is that enough people complain to Yahoo and they fix the mess they made of the portfolios. Sigh.

I can't remove any of the unwanted "information" from the page layout. I have to constantly scroll left/right in an attempt to get the same info from the full page classic view.
When someone finds a suitable replacement, please let everyone know!
