Idea 1 – Support for ULIPs and Other Manually Valued Investments

Yahoo Finance could add an option to track ULIPs and similar investments that do not have a listed ticker or real-time market price.

Users should be able to:

• Record recurring premiums/investments at a defined frequency.
• Maintain the actual cost/premium paid and units separately from each premium paid.
• Enter the latest NAV manually to multiple with the accumulated units to get the portfolio market value.
• Automatically calculate the current market value as Units × NAV.

This would allow users to track non-listed investments alongside stocks, ETFs and mutual funds in one portfolio.

Idea 2 – XIRR at Security, Portfolio and Profile Level

A particularly useful enhancement would be to provide XIRR-based returns using the actual dates and amounts of purchases, sales and other cash flows.

XIRR should ideally be available at:

Ticker / investment level
Individual portfolio level
Overall profile / consolidated portfolio level
