You, or someone, installed this add-on. To disable it,, Ctrl+Shift+A, and click the Disable button for "Search and New Tab by Yahoo". Make certain your home page is what you want,, I'm guessing Yahoo, so, in the address bar type yahoo.com and enter. This takes you to Yahoo's main page. Press Alt+T, then choose Options. Under "Home Page", click "Use Current Pages". Close the browser and re-open browser.

To do this, delete or disable the add-on, Ctrl+Shift+A, for "Search and New Tab by Yahoo". Then, from options, Alt+T, then options,, change the home page to Google -- http://www.google.com

Add-ons may be updated from time to time. You may or may not like the change(s). You, or another user, installed this add-on & you may disable or remove it anytime you like. -- From the menu, click Tools, then Add-Ons,, OR, press Ctrl+Shift+A. Look for "Search and New Tab by Yahoo". To the right click the Disable or Remove button.
    Personally, I like the add-on.

Added it to my browser a long time ago. I like it.
Anyway, for Firefox, from the menu, go to tools, (or press Alt+T),, choose Add-Ons,, choose Extensions. Look for "Search and New Tab by Yahoo".
    Now, either disable or remove.

From the menu bar, click Tools,, then Add-Ons. In your menu bar is not visible, Alt-T will get you to the menu, select Add-Ons (or, Ctrl + Shift +A is more direct). Under extensions,, look for a "Y" in a circle ... the title is "Search and New Tab by Yahoo". Select disable or remove, restart your browser. That's all.

I like this extension for Firefox. It's a simple & professional appearing interface. This extension is added to the browser with a user's permission.
From the menu bar, click Tools,, then Add-Ons. In your menu bar is not visible, Alt-T will get you to the menu, select Add-Ons (or, Ctrl + Shift +A is more direct).
