25+ filthy e-mails every day from these three domains - Securetimes, Windowmarks, and Centralmerges. Come on, Yahoo, it can't be that difficult to completely block this utter garbage. Blocking is useless. It's the same domain names over and over, just different "senders."

    Anonymous commented  ·

More than 30 sexually explicit e-mails within the past 24 hours from the usual names - VIP Dating Network, MILFs, Russian Brides, Asian Brides, Valentine's Day (over a month ago). All sent as part of Yahoo bulk distribution. E-mail "sender" and domain names are nonsensical and constantly change. Yahoo users must have a way to successfully block by domain name! Blocking individual e-mail addresses is completely useless, as is reporting such a large number of Spam messages to the FTC.

Far too time consuming and impractical to even attempt reporting each spam message to the Federal Trade Commission. I average 25+ filthy e-mails per day. That's 175+ a week. Not possible to copy, paste, and send that volume of complaints to the FTC.

Partial list below of domain names sending filthy e-mails to my account in past 24 yours. I have entered them all as "banned addresses." Many e-mails have same sender names/titles, but e-mail addresses and domain names constantly change. Probably algorithms. Can Yahoo please get control of this, and allow users to use "wildcard" feature to ban all e-mails from specific domains!

Great idea. Current filter and blocking features are not effective. I have been able to totally eliminate *****-mails for up to two weeks using filters, and then it starts all over again with different e-mail addresses and domain name. Close to 25 in past 24 hours. Nonsensical combinations of letters and numbers. I am beyond sick of this filth - BBWs, MILFs, Russian Brides, on and on.

Here is a typical example of the 20+ sexually explicit spam e-mails I receive daily. All are sent "X- Yahoo Filtered Bulk." IP address for this one is for a legitimate company, Cadre Technologies. Doesn't Yahoo have the ability to block all such "Filtered Bulk" from every reaching its account users? This is garbage.

Nearly one month passed without a single x-rated e-mail. I really thought Yahoo had resolved the problem. Now, out of nowhere, it has started up again. About 12 per day, the usual filth - Russian Brides, Asians, VIP Dating. How are these scam artists getting their hands on lists of Yahoo e-mail addresses? All I can do is block, which is virtually worthless. Please, Yahoo, reassure users that you are working on real solutions.

Four blessed days with zero Spam. Four yesterday. Twenty five today, 18 of which were filthy, sexually explicit e-mails. It seems like an uphill battle because domain names constantly change. We, the users, look to you, Yahoo, for practical solutions. The block feature clearly does not work.

    Anonymous commented  ·

For Yahoo users like me who receive close to 150 filthy e-mails each week, the well-intended recommendation to report each one to the FTC is unrealistic and no help at all.

    Anonymous commented  ·

Use of the banned addresses feature is useless. The purveyors of spam and filthy e-mails change the "sender" information with each e-mail. The domain name may not change (for a while), but the "sender" information is used only once. What Yahoo absolutely must do is provide us users with a method to block by domain name. I have fluctuated from zero filthy e-mails for a two-week period to now back up to 30+ such messages every day. I don't even bother to block, it's useless.

Three consecutive days without filthy e-mails. Now, today, it has started again with four x-rated messages. What's up with that?

More x-rated filth today from the bogus domains listed below. These are all new ones. Header information from one e-mail included as an illustration. These e-mails are sent in bulk. Yahoo, you should be able to identify senders by IP addresses and issue cease and desist notifications.

Ten x-rated e-mails received so far today, daily average is 25. Domain names listed below. Notice they are all bogus domain names. The number and letter portion of "sender" information is randomly generated and constantly changes. First three on this list are from the same bogus domain. Block feature does absolutely no good. So-called senders are often the same - Russian Brides, Asian Brides, BBWs, MILFs, on and on. I do not visit dating web sites and have never opened any of these e-mails.

More than 20 x-rated e-mails today from the same domains previously reported. Three with "Valentine's Day" messages - that was nine days ago. Please, Yahoo, put an end to this filth. Users need the ability to block incoming e-mails by domain name. Blocking specific e-mail addresses does no good. Algorithms generate a new "user" each and every time.

We appreciate your feedback on this option. Checking the ‘Send all future messages to Spam’ should cause emails from that sender to be directed to your Spam folder. Unchecking that option should simply block the address.

It is also possible to block a domain. This can be done by accessing your blocked list within the settings menu. Please take a look at the following help article for more information:
