The layout of the new Yahoo maps is nice. However for NYC it no longer displays the subway line next to the icon. That needs to be put back because just knowing that a subway line is nearby isn't enough. There are too many subway lines in NYC to guess which one it is. Displaying bus line information would be good as well since there are far more bus lines than subway lines. Yahoo had this feature before Google Maps. Now Google Maps displays subway lines and a lot more information that Yahoo Maps doesn't. If you are going to beat your competitors you need to develop a more robust product that doesn't simply look nice.

yeah, I think Yahoo maps should add the lines of subway! Though the Nokia data may do not have this kind of links' data.
