'Fake' Spam Pop Up Ads from "ads.yahoo.com" using the "Yahoo! News" APP

There is a 'Chronic', intermittent but persistent issue with 'Fake' Spam Pop Up Ads from "ads.yahoo.com" using the "Yahoo! News" APP on my Verizon Wireless Galaxy S4 Android phone.

The page at ads.yahoo.com says:
Your Android has been infected with a virus.
A,A Tap OK to remove now.

I never click "OK" or "Cancel", I just back out of the News story and the "Yahoo! News" APP. Then I run the Verizon "Virus Scan" on my phone but it never finds any Virus. I only see this issue using the "Yahoo! News" Widget that was preinstalled on my Galaxy s4.
