Reuters images poorly cropped by Yahoo site
Reuters images in the news pictures section are very poorly cropped by Yahoo - heads of people are portraits and other pics are often chopped off in the wrong place (through the head). Check the original pictures - even on the Yahoo search result page they look normal but if one clicks them they are erroneously displayed. See the one below:

Fix the comment section
As of this week I can't use the comment section on any news article. There's a "view comments" at the bottom of the article, but clicking on it usually does nothing. Sometimes comments come up, but replies to them can't be seen. There is also no way to access my previous comments. This applies with both Internet Explorer and Firefox. It coincides with the new layout for yahoo news.
I really hope this can be fixed, as I've enjoyed using this function over the last five years and don't want to lose it. -
Yahoo doesn't return me to my spot after going to read a story. Why?
Yahoo has quit returning me to my place I was at in the news items. After reading a story I would hit "return" and would be where I was before going to a story. Why has this quit working?

Please fix Yahoo Content Preferences - please for the love of all that is right in the world!
Yahoo has not made any attempt to fix the user's content preference settings - they are a joke. No matter how many times I select 'soccer' to be 'blocked' it comes back. Yahoo tells me 'Great, you'll never see this story again' after I go through the process and yet, as soon as I come back to the Yahoo homepage - the story is back... The best is this; Yahoo's response is to give me instructions on how to complete the process - which I have DONE!...
It is sad, yahoo used to be a great company and is now…

Get rid of Answers.com "news" links.
The Answers.com website is so extremely slow and unresponsive that it is unusable. Personally, I will never click on any Yahoo "news" link that leads to Answers.com and I'm sure few others will either.

Please fix the Comments sections. Bring back the old comment format where you can access them and use the 'thumbs'.
Not an 'idea' but a problems I have not found addressed in Yahoo help withe regard to posting comments in various news articles. Starting well over a year ago, I was suddenly not able to 'thumb up' or 'thumb down' a comment. Comments showed little gray squares with question marks instead, although there were numbers. For some reason I no longer had the ability to participate. Fairly recently, I noticed I no longer had the ability to read comments in Yahoo 'Politico'. If 'view comments' are in blue, I can't view as the prompt doesn't work. If they are in…

WTF Yahoo! Local News is STILL running 2-3 days behind - This has been ongoing. Old stories from Sun/Mon are still running- Today is Thur!

Your Local news coverage sucks
Before this new version I actually got local news. Now the "local" news is from another state. I live in NC not SC. There is actually a difference between the 2 states. You no longer have any feeds from Mountain Express, or the Asheville Citizen Times. You have "local" news from tv stations and papers more than 100 miles away. You blow big greasy chunks now. I will be switching to a new home page.

The READ MORE links are not working! They've been directing me back to a week's old page featuring old news -- this has been going on since the Baby Charlie story.

Get rid of the auto pop out on the side of video windows.
When I go to watch a video and I move the mouse over the video window you have a sidebar that pops out with more video suggestions. That is annoying. I roll over the video to see how much is left and that stupid sidebar pops out and covers up what I'm watching and also doesn't allow me to click on reload video if I happen to leave my Flash plugin enabled and that screws up the video loading which is another annoyance. Your site is the only one I have to disable the Flash plugin with in Chrome to…
