Your closure...
"Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting"
Is nonsense.
A "safe place for users to engage in" is impossible if users cannot engage. Who wrote that? Rhetorical question..I don't really care except that I really enjoyed "engaging", which I can o longer do. This renders your website worthless.

This is why they removed the comments.
So that they could blatantly lie to us with no rebuttal.

Be honest with your readers
As I have noticed the team at Yahoo removed the comment section, and left us, the readers of Yahoo news with this to explain, "Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting."
If you removed comments, there is not a place to engage, there was a place to engage called comments. Now there is none, this killed your community. Please be honest in what you did.

Disclaimer Error
The disclaimer at the end of your articles reads "Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting" -- It should say "Our goal is to create a far left narrative that seldom reflects the truth, we have eliminated the comments section to keep you from calling our leftist propaganda ********, and blatant disregard for facts" -- There ya go, fixed it for you!!

Yahoo News! Really??
Why are you posting a picture of Chinese family in masks walking though an airport when the article is about "Coronavirus Updates: U.S. death toll tops 1,000" article? Please post relevant pictures to the article you want your viewership to read.

Remember to post who, what, when, where, and maybe why.
To post a story on dam removal in California and not even name the river or the dam reveals to me that yahoo has a bunch of idiots writing their articles.

FACT CHECK
ERROR - An article by Corinne Sullivan, Thursday Nov. 14, 2019, about author Tom Junod, refers to me, Richard Drew, in the last sentence, as "a victim of the Sept. 11 attacks, called "The Falling Man." In reality, I am the Associated Press photographer who shot "The Falling Man" image on Sept. 11, 2001.

In the story "Alaska Man Arrested After Memory Card..."
In this story, this sentence appears: "Police said they were given the memory card after it was a women apparently found it discarded on a street."
I really cannot understand how your writer and editorial staff could let this get by. I have noticed a huge uptick in the number of gross errors made in your news stories. If you wish to keep your loyal readers and subscribers, this needs to stop. If you need help proofreading articles before they go live, I would be happy to help!

Make sure the news you are posting is correct
Today i seen a post about a house fire that affected my family 2 years ago this involving my sister who was taken by the home fire while this fire happened to be caused by a dryer it was not cause due to lent or poor maintenance i think its terrible that you made this news and that our family has to relive this in this type of way the people who reported this to the news obliviously know nothing about my sister as they were only in her life twice a year and seems to me they were looking…

Proofreading please!!
I'd be more than happy to do it for a very small amount each week. The glaring spelling, typing & grammatical errors are bad enough, but then there are factual errors - such as one article today that starts by saying Prince Harry & Meghan have been married since last year!! Do you do this deliberately to see if anyone is noticing???
- Don't see your idea?
